About this listen
When a perfect marriage, the perfect husband, and perfect life is nothing but an illusion.
Sarah Standon is living the dream, at least that’s what everyone tells her. She is the wife of a successful solicitor who looks like a movie star. They live a Stepford existence and appear to have it all.
Then, one fateful night, everything changes.
A terrible accident leaves Sarah alone to deal with a situation so frightening she starts to question her grip on reality. Her perfect life has been exposed as the lie it always was and she loses everything.
She thought that was the worst that could happen.
She was wrong.

Story
The playground is the last place I thought I’d see you. It was my Billy’s first day at school. It was supposed to be a happy one. But then you turned up. I remembered you instantly from the hospital wing. Our babies born on the same day. Both premature. Both needing intensive care. While Billy grew stronger day by day, your baby sadly slipped away. But now you’re back with one devastating accusation…. Billy isn’t my son at all, he’s yours. And you’ve come to take him away.

You won't see this twist coming!
This story turned out to be a little more graphic than is my usual preference, it was well written and kept my attention throughout. Sarah has become an abused wife & feels powerless to escape from the torment which has become her life.
The narrator does a good job & fits into the setting of the story. I just had some trouble adjusting to the accent...this is a personal issue & shouldn't reflect on the narration itself.
I requested a review copy of this story & am willingly giving my opinion of it.

Only buy this book if you are into cruelty.
Only but this book if you are into graphic spousal abuse.
Only buy this book if you are into weak female characters that are submissive doormats and love to bleed and be beaten... DISGUSTING..!!
I am horrified that Audible would deem this book worthy to be published..!!
Shame on everyone involved in this travesty..!!
