Publisher's summary

Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She's even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy.

And then she sees something shocking. It's only a minute until the train moves on, but it's enough. Now everything's changed. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she's only watched from afar. Now they'll see - she's much more than just the girl on the train....

Great narrating lightened the story

The story was a bit slow moving at the beginning but got better and exciting towards the end. Too predictable. Good flow and very entertaining.

breath-taking

can't wait to complete it after you begin it. the way story is telled is awesome, three characters. three life, each with their own cycology and their demand from life, all this juggles to form a great suspense thriller. the way is naarated is spellbound.

Intriguing story

Intriguing story, that hooks you in that you want to know the resolution. The start is a bit slower before it gets interesting, but it's not so bad. Only the narration of Anna was a bit out of place, but there is only a little of it, and it got better towards the end.

Great book

Entertaining, well written, page turner, never dull, recommended for the lovers of mystery, suspense, crime, and plots that are hiding below the surface of apparently normal lifes

Absolutely addictive

What did you like best about this story?

I loved this book. I went through every emotion reading it. I felt irritation, compassion, fear, hatred, joy and many other emotions. The development of the characters is fantastic. I found it nearly impossible to stop listening and as this was my first audio book my fear starting out was straying away from the novel.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Rachel was by far my favourite. I actually grew to love her flaws in a funny way

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me jump, cry, shout with frustration...everything!

Any additional comments?

An absolute must. The narrator was amazing.

Interesting batch of women!
Very slow at times, but all in all a very good listen.

The ending was very rewarding

Initially I found this book quite irritating. I found both the main female characters weak, and I couldn't understand why they cannot just get over themselves and get on with their lives. By the end of the book it all made perfect sense. There is a sense of vindication in the ending that is very rewarding, and makes the book worth reading.
