About this listen

George Robert Stowe Mead was one of the most prolific and gifted scholars of Gnosticism and Hermeticism of the first half of the 20th century. This book explores gnostic ideas and texts from an entirely sympathetic point of view, which was rare at the time. Editor Jason Augustus Newcomb has rendered the book more comprehensible for modern listeners, as well as added additional notes and commentary.

Religion of Mind

Whatever we do or think, our Mind is the Initiator. Path seems to be to pray to Mind to lead us from that which is imperfect to that which is perfect good. To me, once there may have been such a religion called "Religion of Mind", itself is a fact which tells me that Mind has doors which can be opened through devotion and dedication to it. Then second thought comes to my mind is, "Our all images of all Gods are also conceived in our Mind"... The book provoked many thoughts in me. I would like to know more about this ancient tradition..

Gnosis of the Mind simply Is

Absolutely awe inspiring book. As a gnostic, this audio book is literally a godsend. Simply it is, for it is that which was that becomes again and will continue to become. For those who have ears to hear. Thank you, sincerely.

Refreshingly edited version of a hard book

With the language cleared up, this edit on this important subject is addressed in an easy and accessible manner. Clear and nice recording as well.

It was to Christian laced and tampered with.

I'd rather learn the old stuff. The guy started talking about Jesus and the postal Paul and what not, knowing these Hermetic writings predate any thought of Christianity. if you I'd stay away from this one.

Great, but needs depth!

I really got into the storyline and enjoyed the appetizer that this book provided.
