Once again, Mrs. Mary has hit it out of the park! I binged this book in just a couple of days! I hope there is another one so that I can learn what happens next!

Well written.

Excellent mix of characters. Nice transition from chapter to chapter to create character point of view.

Literature masterpiece

I have to say that the storyline was full of character development and the storyline hit home on what women have faced throughout time, being treated as just servants. This was well written and made me emotionally invested. I highly recommend this story and audible.

Handmaid's tale meets high school drama

so yeah this is another super scary patriarchy dystopian society where men rule and women are stripped down to either workers, wives or high society like actors and musicians but you're only as good as your beauty and the pleasure you can bring... that is until it sparks mini rebellions.
The story starts when the main characters are taken at 6 years old, sorted into levels based on looks and placed into a special school all girls go to, to learn the ways of society and whats expected of women.
it's sad, its heartwarming at times and devastating at most.

Couldn't stop listening!

This book reminded me a lot of The Handmaid's Tale. I listened to it in 3 days, it was so good! I was staying up till 2-3 am every night. Truly an enjoyable listen. I really hope there is a sequel to this book because the universe that Kate created is so interesting. Definitely recommended!

The Handmaid's Tale crossed with a beauty pageant

I have to admit, I certainly felt anxious and terrified of Sansara, captivated and revolted. The trigger warnings are not there for nothing, and Kate puts these characters through the wringer. The character development perfectly keeps pace with the plot.

I will be looking out for a sequel to this story - although it was well wrapped up in the end, there is definitely more story to tell.

The narration was a little too slow for my liking, so I sped up the playback speed and it was much more enjoyable - therefore the "pretty good" definition for 3 stars matches fairly.
