The perfect listen for Halloween

The stories were just the right amount of ‘scary’ and the narrator did a terrific job. Just right for cool, dark fall nights.

Perfect for the season!

Short horror stories and Halloween go hand in hand, which makes this book the perfect read for the season. Kelly brews up some great stories here, including one tying into Jack The ripper. There are also some cool nods to his earlier work.

A nice unexpected Halloween surprise

I really enjoyed the stories--especially paired with the narrator. The Jack-O-Lantern story was my favorite. 🎃🤎

Great appetizer for Halloween

This is a great collection of stories to get you ready for All Hallows Eve, they are very well written and spooky. The narrator also adds a lot to the stories as well.

So good

This was one of the best books I have ever heard hands down. It was fabulous. Not only did it get me in the mood for Halloween, but it gave me all of the spooky nostalgia feels from my childhood that I needed. Can this please be made into an anthology film. And the narrator!!! Chef’s kiss!

Halloween Magic!

Exactly what I was looking for. Halloween short stories with LOTS of ambience and only a little gore. Especially enjoyed that the author and I share the same memories of what made Halloween so enchanting.

Very well written. Great variety. Excellent Halloween tone

I really ended up enjoying this one. Huge Halloween fan and self described spooky boy, so when it comes to Halloween themed stories I’m typically pretty easy to please, but that said, this was particularly good. Good enough to make me want to read a lot more of this authors work. Each story was well crafted, entertaining, and most had a nice heavy amount of Halloween love applied to them, and the few that did feel a bit Halloween “light” were entertaining enough to make up for it. I also really enjoyed the non fictional last story where he simply reminisced about his own childhood Halloween experiences. It all felt very genuine and heartfelt. Very good compilation. I give it 5 out of 5 Jack o lanterns

A great escape from 2020 WOES! More pls

I have never been much for short stories but, I felt as though these were written in short novels. Even though they were short they really drew you in. They were all very original stories as Kelly usually delivers with wonderful narration. This will definitely be one of my favorites. Thanks for taking my mind off what’s going on in the world at least for a little bit.

Fantastic Halloween Listen

I do not write a ton of reviews anymore, but this book was so well done with a collection of 7 short stories, and some nostalgic remembrances when Halloween was a simpler and Safer time.
The Narrator J. Rodney Turner has a silky-smooth voice that reminds me of Sam Elliott or Matthew McConaughey. He does an amazing Job of telling the story and making it come alive in my head while I'm driving to work or afternoon walk's.

I have already purchased multiple additional Ronald Kelly books narrated by J. Rodney Turner
Mr. Glow Bones -just available 10/11/24
Haunt -Southern Fried Fear.

What a fantastic Duo, and i love the writing and the story teller.
