Outstanding.

I lived in the Tonto Basin. This told of the immense beauty I remembered. Wonderful.

Read it

The narrator doesn't do the story justice. If you have read it before, it's an ok listen. John Traven does a much better job on the prequel.

Narration is terrible.

This is a great story by one of the greatest of western writers. It is barely tolerable to listen to this reader's voice. His "western accent" is ridiculous. His mispronunciation of Cibecue is like nails on a blackboard. It comes up often in this story, too.
I've read the book myself before, and loved it. This narrator absolutely ruins it.

Horrible

I may as well been listened to as the world turns if I could give it no stars I would

Terrible narration

Mispronunciation was cringe worthy, and this was a sequel. All he had to do was listen to the previous book to know how to pronounce. Pitiful

Not fond of the narrator

Narrators can make or break a story simply by making you want to listen to the story. This one is hard to listen to. Awesome story!
