Publisher's summary

Apple cider, bonfires, football, and - ghosts.

It’s homecoming weekend in Sugarland, Tennessee, and ghost hunter Verity Long is tickled to see so many souls - living and dead - back in town to celebrate. But not all reunions are happy ones, and when Verity stumbles upon a dead body by the football field, it appears someone has already evened the score.

With her long-lost mother in tow and her ghostly sidekick Frankie showing her startling glimpses of a time long past, Verity untangles the secrets and scandal behind her town’s favorite traditions. Even more shocking? The murderer is tracking her. And before she can discover the final truth that leads her to a cold-blooded killer, she may just be the one who loses the game.

Another sweet mystery in the heart of Surgarland!

Man, I love this fun Cozy Urban-Fantasy series! Angie Fox keeps delivering these sweet mysteries right in the heart of Surgarland TN. This one heats up by finding a dead Homecoming Queen in the midst of all the pomp and ceremony at the beginning of the annual festival! Verity certainly has her work cut out for her as she investigates the case while dealing with both, her very alive, and very thoughtless mother, and Frankie, her very dead ganster friend/ally who's currently having his own girl problems. All the while, Verity's trying to make sure that she doesn't become the next victim!
Grab the book and while away some time in Sugarland!
Tavia Gilbert is the perfect voice for Verity, so be sure to add the audio version when you pick up the ebook!

for the next book! Absolutely love this series. Who knew Frankie could be romantic! But I do hate cliffhangers!

The Haunted Homecoming

I am totally addicted to this series! The Haunted Homecoming is an awesome book 10 of this Southern series! Who doesn't love a good high school homecoming and and the opening of the '86 time capsule .(Sorta like a combo homecoming game, dance, and class reunion with the opening of the time capsule. You won't believe the ending... I can't wait until she writes # 11 😍

Great Narrator!

This series is a delight! Many light/fun/cozy audiobooks are brought down by poor narration, but this narrator is GOLD! Great voices, lots of emotion, a wonderfully cinematic read!

No spoilers

Angie dose it again. great story, a fun and very good mystery, I have just one gripe why dose have to take sooooo long for the next to come out. there is a bit of a cliffhanger but it's more of a lead into the next book wish I had the next already or very soon. Gilbert did a fantastic job her preference was spot on told with lots of emotions love that thank you, highly recommend. you could listen as a standalone but I don't recommend doing that you miss to much of the back story.

Good performance and kept you listening

The mystery was written well. It kept you guessing. Having a time capsule was a great way to introduce the saga. Plus, 1986 wasn’t really that long ago.

The Haunted

Boy oh boy, Frankie is in a mood. And not a pleasant one foe Verity. Still loved the store and loved the ending. Can't wait to see what happens next.
