About this listen

Charles Dickens wrote the "Disney" version of the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts that visited him. This is the "Brothers Grimm" version. Jacob Marley is not trying to save his friend from beyond the grave. The three ghosts Marley sends to Scrooge are not benevolent beings come to save a lost human soul.

The real story is as dark as a winter’s night. Sinister beings summoned by a dark heart are sent on a mission of murder and death. Ebenezer must fight for his life against monsters whom Marley controls by the possession of their names. With the help of his trusted clerk Bob and the rest of the Cratchet family, they may live to see Christmas. But it will take more than the well wishes of the holiday to stop the evil of three visiting specters.

Wasn’t exactly what i expected but was good nonetheless. Narration was quite interesting to say the least. With a very raspy and Scrooge-like voice

The Haunting of Scrooge by Raven Usher is a very engaging paranormal ghost story. It’s the opposite of the Christmas story we all know. Scrooge is a kind, benevolent man with good will to all. Scrooge with his best friend Bob Cratchet and the Cratchet children have to fight demons, ghosts and monsters unleashed by a greedy and vengeful Jacob Marley. The narration by Steve Field is absolutely perfect. He creates unique voices for all the characters and enhances the atmosphere of the story. His performance brings the characters and story to life. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

Revenge, not redemption
