Little more than a tourism pamphlet

Short, lacking detail, overly patriotic. No real examination or explanation of the forces at work. Very disappointed.

A Stolen Middle School History Report

Somewhere there is a ticked-off eighth-grader who just realized that his or her work writing a report on Norway was plagerized for this book.

The introduction was probably written while the student was in sixth grade. Later the report that became the introduction was expanded upon.

Seriously, as others have said, this is a terrible book. Historically, there are significant gaps. For example, major portions of Viking history are ignored. Additionally, amazing statements are made about prehistory with no citations or sources specified.

Sentence structure, transitions, and connections between concepts are all lacking. It truly sounds juvenile.
