About this listen

Ishmael Jones investigates a haunted house...but is haunted by his own past in the latest of this quirky paranormal mystery series.

“That house is a bad place. Bad things happen there...."

Set high on top of Widows Hill, Harrow House has remained empty for years. Now, on behalf of an anonymous prospective buyer, Ishmael and Penny are spending a night there in order to investigate the rumors of strange lights, mysterious voices, and unexplained disappearances and establish whether the house is really haunted.

What really happened at Harrow House all those years ago? Joined by a celebrity psychic, a professional ghost hunter, a local historian, and a newspaper reporter, it becomes clear that each member of "Team Ghost" has his or her own pet theory as to the cause of the alleged haunting. But when one of the group suddenly drops dead with no obvious cause, Ishmael realizes that if he can find out how and why the victim died, he will have the key to solving the mystery.

Seemed familiar but still loved it

Pretty sure this was the story line for House on Haunted Hill. Regardless, still enjoyed it and would recommend to others.

An audictive spooky tale! Green/Jackson pure genius!

Author Simon R. Green’s Ishmael Jones Mystery series again never disappoints. Gildart Jackson’s vocal brilliance made me feel as if i was right there with this ensemble cast. Not my usual genre, “The House on Widow’s Hill” is uniquely different and it kept my attention throughout. Green and Jackson are perfectly paired and work flawlessly together. This is from the Audible Plus catalogue at no cost; an awesome nod to all involved for this treat. I will be adding more from this series to my vast Audible library. Grab this one now and get ready for a haunting investigation and seance with a shocker of an ending. {{{Jaw, meet the floor.}}} So highly recommended, I can’t see to the top.

Quite enjoyable

The Ishmael Jones series is both entertaining and intriguing. Performance is quite spectacular. Two words more to attain required fifteen for a review. Pity.

It's worth the listen.

The story starts off slow, butt picks up after after a couple of chapters. The narration is pretty good and the story fairly original.

All right but not anything scary about it

More a ghost, alien, comedy, story all in one. For free it’s ok , to buy would be a waste.
