Legendary Voice
I expected an old-school recitation, but Bronks surprises with nuanced emotion—she makes you root for both Greeks and Trojans, truly capturing the tragedy of war. Perfect for epic-lover road trips or late-night headphone sessions.

For history nerds
i’ve listened to a lot of history books and ancient texts but this one stands out. the narration is clean and not overly “performed.” just strong and steady. makes it easier to follow the epic story without feeling lost. emely bronks deserves credit for making this classic so listenable.

book club pick and it was a good one
we did this for my book club (audiobook edition lol) and a few of us picked different versions to listen to. this one with emely bronks was definitely the winner. her voice keeps you grounded through all the complex stuff. we all agreed this one had the best vibe serious but not dry.

The Best Narration For This Classic
we did The Iliad in our audiobook book club and everyone picked a different version to listen to. some narrators were too dramatic or too flat. but emely bronks? hers was hands down the best. perfect balance of clarity and emotion. even people who didn’t like the story that much said her narration made it better. if you’re gonna listen to this book, pick this version.

Great performance
okay so it’s not the easiest thing to follow tons of names and speeches but the narration really helps. emely’s pacing is great and she makes it feel alive. i had to rewind a few parts but overall it was a cool way to finally experience this classic.

Way Better than the other narrator i tried
started with another version and the voice was too stiff and hard to follow. switched to this one and emely bronks made it so much better. she keeps a good pace and makes the speeches feel like they matter. it’s long, yeah, but i got through it way easier with her voice.

This version is the one
i tried another version before this one and it was flat. switched to emely bronks and wow, night and day. her voice has weight but still keeps the pace. the story is wild, full of drama, way more intense than i expected. 10/10 for this narration.

Epic in every sense
This felt like watching an old war movie in my head. the battles, the drama, the gods interfering… it’s wild. emely bronks has this really clear, strong voice that keeps you in it. takes a bit to get used to the style but once you’re in, you’re hooked. def worth the time.

Felt like a myth brought to life
i wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as i did. the language is poetic but not too hard to follow with the audio. the narrator gives it this steady, serious tone that fits the story. achilles, hector, all of them felt bigger than life. glad i listened instead of trying to read it.
