About this listen

The Spark: that single, ineffable quality that lets some scrape the floor of heaven, while everyone else can only watch from the ground. People with the Spark inevitably end up sports heroes, renown artists, world leaders.

The only thing more painful than not having the Spark is losing it. Fifteen years ago, someone stole Thomas's Spark, and with it, his memory. When Thomas uncovers who he used to be, he's forced to confront not just the one who stole his gift, but also a past that has taken everything from him.

Samuelle's sophomore novel is stunning - artistic and suspenseful, with a resolution as surprising as it is satisfying. Although the start is somewhat leisurely, the pay out is worth it.

Archer's narration is a perfect complement to the story. His character voices - particularly of the villain - are spot on without being overdone.

A must listen for anyone with a little art in their soul.

What did you love best about The Jovian Spark?

The Jovian Spark is an interesting idea. I enjoyed the process of discovering the details about it along with the main character.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Not quite sure why the Narrator was British for a book placed in the United States. Good narrator however.

Any additional comments?

Would be interested in a further development of the Jovian Spark Idea. Seams like there are many storylines that could be developed.
