Publisher's summary

There’s a reason I hate the holidays, but nothing could’ve prepared me for the literal nightmare of flying three thousand miles in the middle of December.

When my coworker gets the flu, I reluctantly volunteer to take their assignment to write a piece on Vermont’s most famous Christmas small town.

After a delayed flight and driving through a blizzard in a minivan to a mountain cabin in the middle of nowhere, I find myself mixed up in a rental scam.

It’s bad enough the owner walks into my room naked and accuses me of breaking in, but then he tells me all the roads into town are closed. Even if I could leave, all the hotels are booked with tourists for the winter festival.

Even worse, his house is decorated like the North Pole.

Like I said, a nightmare.

The only perk about being snowed in with a lumberjack is that he’s accustomed to the cold and lets me steal his body heat in the middle of the night.

But then that turns into more, and even when I try to resist, I can’t help getting attached. It’ll never work out because we live on opposite sides of the country and have nothing in common.

Except, maybe we do…

My Greatest Joy was previously published as “The Joy of Us” by Kennedy Fox. The bonus chapter and bonus scene are not included in the audiobook version, but you can find them now on my website.

Ummm Levi White is a whole freaking snack y’all!

Fallon and Levi meet when she is scammed into thinking she’s renting a cabin when it really is his home. After a little blizzard that makes them cuddle to stay warm, things heat up left and right.

Levi helps Fallon find her love for the holidays again and makes her see that not all men are the same. It was a great ending to the Love in Isolation series.

Heartwarming Holiday Romance

Fallon and Levi’s story was a sweet, heartwarming holiday romance. These two were complete opposites, Levi loves Christmas and owns a tree farm while Fallon dislikes it due to her past and is sent to a small-town to write an article about his tree farm. They get stranded together during a blizzard and I loved watching them get to know each other, all of the playful banter between them and all of the swoony moments as he showed her around the town. I loved that she got to see the magic of the town and the people.

The narration from Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow brought this story and Fallon and Levi’s personalities to life and I enjoyed listening to both of them. I have enjoyed this entire series and Levi and Fallon’s story was a perfect way to end it.

A story to enjoy even when it isn't the holidays!!

Aiden Snow as a Christmas loving man....sign me up. This reverse grumpy/sunshine is a fantastic audio. Andi and Aiden are a great narrating team. I was honestly sad that it ended so soon.

Don't wait for the holiday season to listen to this wonderful story of a grumpy journalist that finds herself in quite the predicament when the cabin she thinks she is renting is in fact lived in by a Christmas loving man whose family owns a tree farm. The meet cute (or not so cute) will have you laughing out loud. The way these two banter back and forth and fight their attraction makes the story even more delicious.

My favorite from the whole series!

I think out of all the Love in Isolation stories, The Joy of Us is hands down my favorite. There is just something about the way this story plays out that makes my heart happy and sing! I mean, the way that Fallon and Levi are initially introduced to each other had me laughing so hard. Having Arndt and Snow give life to Fallon and Levi was absolute perfection. I loved how these two just melted into the characters that they portray.
This whole story to me was about how to find that spirit within your soul not just with Christmas but life in general. My heart hurt so much for the reasons as to why Fallon didn’t celebrate the holidays anymore but Levi made her see the beauty in it. I have always loved books from Kennedy Fox, and Hunter and Travis are still my top faves but Levi has a very special place in my heart for his giving soul and so much more. This story is full of the feels, the laughs and so much more. Great read for the holidays!

Amazing Story & Narration🎧 Heartwarming & Joyful!

Kennedy Fox pens another fantastic novel set in their “Love in Isolation” series and I loved everything about it, from their wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines they created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. Fallon Joy, a journalist for a magazine in Seattle, travels to a small town in Vermont to write about their town, which is well known for the holiday celebrations. Despite having a last name of Joy, she is anything but for the Christmas holidays and wants nothing to do with them, but a job is a job, and she will be the one to tell whether this town is anything special. Finding a place to stay was difficult this time of the year but her assistant found her a two-week house rental outside of town, another problem she encountered was getting there, the weather did not cooperate but she got there and finally got to relax, but only for a minute. She hears another person and a dog in the house, and their first encounter does not go very well for that person. Levi White was out chopping wood and needed a hot shower and when he entered his bedroom in his birthday suit, he was not expecting to find a strange woman in his bed and what she does next really takes him by surprise. Fallon learned her assistant booked a scam rental, and now she was stuck in this stranger’s home because of the storm. Despite all the Christmas cheer in the house, it was not an awful place to be. Levi got a kick out Fallon’s name, but he found her to be intriguing and when he learned why she was there, he was going to make sure she had the best town experience for the sake of the town, he was going to make sure she fell in love with the town and maybe even gain some of that holiday spirit. His family owns the Christmas tree farm and their reputation depends on tourism and the people who come to visit. The more he got to know Fallon the more determined he was to impress her and not just for the town but for him too. This wonderfully plotted and fabulously delightful opposites attract, force proximity romance has the perfect balance of drama, charming humor, heartfelt emotions and a steamy romance. It is a story that will put a smile on your face anytime of the year. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration is brought to you by the mega talented Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow, who do an amazing job portraying these characters. I love how they take each role and make it their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. The quality of the audio is top-notch and so are their performances and delivery of the witty dialogue and handling of all the character’s emotions. These entertaining storytellers are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Such a sweet story with the best feels!

The Joy of Us by Kennedy Fox was such a sweet and charming grumpy sunshine romance where the girl is the grump and he is the sunshine. Narrated by Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow, they truly brought Fallon and Levi’s story to life for me. Fallon is not about Christmas. At all. Levi works at his family’s Christmas farm and well, is all about the holidays. Now they are forced together and Levi is determined to show her the joy of the season. I loved their back and forth and chemistry. I loved reading the interactions between these two. It was a small-town romance that had me smiling and giving me the best feels! Another great read by this writing duo!

Happy listening!

Christmas with some spice

I mostly enjoyed this story, although it did start to fall a little flat for me in the second half of the book. I’d say it’s solidly in the good not great category for me. Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow provided excellent narration, as would be expected by anyone familiar with these two pros. Overall, not a bad choice for a spiced up holiday listen.

The Grinch meets Santa!

I am thoroughly in love with this book and all the characters. The narrators really helped you feel like you were in Levi and Fallons' shoes. Levi is the good hearted, dedicated, town playboy and Fallon is witty, jaded and a holiday grinch. She is in town for a work assignment. The town encompasses everything Christmas, you cant help but fall in love. These two meet in the most crazy way and are forced to stay together cause of the weather. Levi realizes real quick Fallon is someone he needs to get to know better so he sets out to gently woo her in the most wonderful of ways and during the most magical time of year. The chemistry between these two is so scorching hot. I really enjoyed all the cliches and witty phrases. These two were a hoot. I just love their HEA. Another amazing book in this series.

I was sent a free book and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Holiday goodness with Levi and Fallon!

I really like how this book really flips some tropes upside down. Fallon doesn’t love Christmas, but Levi does and I love how he goes about showing her the true joy of the season. Levi is determined to show Fallon that there’s still a lot of hope and love during this holiday season. Their first meeting is an eye opening experience, but I really like Levi’s personality, his happiness and uplifting spirit and how he works to change Fallon’s mind. The audio with Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt was great! Andi’s cynical voice and Fallon’s enthusiasm was evident, and I love how the narrators brought such life to the story, but also showed so clearly the changes the characters go through as the story progresses. Highly recommend the audio!
