Publisher's summary

The seventh and final book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Field Party series—a Southern soap opera filled with football, cute boys, and pick-up trucks—from USA TODAY bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Five years after the Lawton High football team last took the field, everyone is gathering for a special event back home in Alabama. But coming back together brings up memories from the past. Special ones. Painful ones. Unforgettable ones. And for some, the reunion introduces an opportunity to confront unresolved issues.

Can Asa and Ezmita continue to run away from what their hearts truly want? What about Nash and Tallulah—will their natural attraction to each other last when trust concerns rise to the surface? For West and Maggie, five years later means taking the next step—if they have the courage to face it. And a joyous celebration waits for Brady and Riley and their beautiful family. But family may be the point of contention when it comes to Gunner and Willa and their upcoming plans. Finally, there are Ryker and Aurora, who must continue to fight their way through insecurity and temptation.

All these couples find themselves face-to-face with not only the past but a possible future worth celebrating. So as we catch up with the members of the Lawton High football team, the future still remains unknown. Will everyone get their happy endings? Or will they leave it all on the field as they step forward toward the days ahead?

Satisfying

I like to call books like this brain candy. It was a fast listen with sweet content. I really love that Abbi Glines revisits her characters and gives them an extended epilogue. This wasn’t a book with huge emotional issues, that was in their original books. This was like catching up with old friends.

A lovely companion book for the series.

Well, the last book in The Field Party series has come and gone. I am a little sad that it is over. I have loved these books so much. This last book is a collection of epilogue stories for each of the couples in the series. I was satisfied with them and was glad to get closure for each of the couples but I wasn't overly wowed in any way. I was especially glad to get Asa and Ezmita's conclusion since the end of their book didn't really get any closure at all. If you adored the books in this series as much as I did then you'll want to pick this up. It's a lovely companion book for the series that dots all the Is and crosses all the Ts. If you are a fan of high school sports romances and haven't tried this series yet then I encourage you to try them!

Great Way to tie everything up

Love the fact that the author closed the series with answers to questions and situations the other books in the series left open to speculation.

Sweet finish

Well this one was a really sweet finish. It picks up 5 years after the last and we finally get some resolution for Asa and Esmita plus a little extended epilogue for all the couple which is nice. the order of each story was a little jumbled but it made sense why they were the way they were and mostly they happened concurrently. I really loved that all the narrators came back for this one and it made it even better to listen to.

Great ending

I enjoyed the ending of the series. It was a great way to end it all and wrap up the stories. When they are so young when the stories end, it’s great to see years later.

Loved the “update” story

I’ve read this series a few times over the last 7 years or so and was excited to get an update to all the couples lives. It’s not often we see that. I was happy with the endings. I wish there was a little more to it. Maybe then being a little older so more would have happened to tell about, but that’s ok. I’ll make up what happens in the next 5-10 years myself. Only thing that bothered me was some of the narrators. I wish they were younger (mainly the men) and more like what I’d picture their character to sound like based on their culture. They did it with Esmita, so why not Nash and Ryker Lee? West and some of the others were spot on with their southern accents. Anyway, other than not liking some of the narrators. I enjoyed the book and was glad Abbi gave us a glimpse into their lives today.

Disappointing

Have always loved Abbi Glines stories. This one was just not good. Narrating was terrible.
