One man's revenge for Vietnam's war crimes rocks America!

Some of the homecoming "heroes" have committed crimes against humanity...but now they wear medals, not handcuffs. Camouflaged by anarchy, these malicious acts appear to be safely buried...but the truth, itself, is ever-explosive. One wrong step - or the right one.

The Code of Honor neglected afar, is known to haunt a criminal faction. Native soil means nothing....

A chilling 1980s serial killer thriller that forces the listener to question far more than "whodunnit".

Listened to the book in one sitting. The plot is good. Had a nice twist. Thrilling enough to keep my attention. Enjoyed how succinct the book was. Would enjoy it even if it was longer.

Realistic story

This isn't just a book about war, it's a book about writing about tragedy and coming to terms with loss. The story was meaningful and symbolic and just shocked me with the sheer amount of truth and power.

Excellent

Very good job of bringing the insanity that can happen during war and how cruel things can come to innocent people. Tom Fria did a great job of bringing it all to life. I was given a free copy of this audio in return for an unbiased review.

cruel, gripping and thrilling

Xuan Lang went to US to revenge the brutal murder of his family during the Vietnam war. While the book focuses on the vendetta, this story gives another view to rogue Vietnam war Soldiers. The story's cruel, gripping and thrilling.

The story is riveting and thrilling.

The story is riveting and thrilling. It started off slow as the story builds up on Xuan's story. I find the vengeance pursuing all through out the book. I believe this story can be further expanded into a longer novel. Characters are well-developed.

Best Serverd Cold

I really enjoyed this story, reminded me a bit of Death Wish. I love a good revenge story and this played out well for that. Unique cause for the vengeance, but I would have done the same thing. The plot played out a bit unrealistic as I thought everyone other than the main character, won’t try to spell his name, was dumb. I think the average person would have been a lot more skeptical and behaved differently, but I loved how it played out regardless. Expected the ending, but wished for a different one.

As a father and husband I totally get the drive to redeem your family. I liked the hesitation and struggle he had with helping versus killing his foes. It is a great struggle that he went through and I think Eric Reese was able to write it perfectly that the listener feels it too. On one hand I was forgiving, on the other I was hoping for a gruesome death.

Tom Fria did a good job narrating this book. I liked his character voices and thought he really brought the story to life.
