About this listen

“Don’t push it, Harley,” I said, but my tone lacked any real bite.
“So…. Are we really doing it? You know? The fertility thing?”
“Of course we are,” I said, rolling my eyes. “What other choice do we have?”
“So, clothes off, let me see if you can make me feel any pleasure,” she said and I opened my mouth, as if I couldn’t quite believe that girl.
Then, she saw it.
“This thing won’t fit me!” she said, looking at it with her mouth a little open from awe.
“You should have thought about that before being naughty.”

In a world of floating islands bound by fragile magic, the land is dying—and so is its people. Harley never imagined she would be the key to saving it. Torn from her ordinary life on Earth, she awakens in Maffye, a realm where fertility has all but vanished. No more kids are born, the crops won't grow, the animals are dying.

Her guide is Varrak, a gruff orc warrior. As Harley’s dormant powers begin to awaken, she discovers the weight of her role. But it had a cost: they must reawaken the fertility... beginning with themselves.

This is a dark orc romance and a dark monster romance, with a happy ending, can be read as a standalone, and it has mature themes.

Fantasy Gothic Horror Science Fiction

Absolutely terrible! Stay away!

There are so many things I could say about how bad this book is. But first the narration doesn't sounds as bad as other virtual narration do but it keeps a weirdly positive tone and sounds like it is choking often. Otherwise still an awful book. The fact that the orcs seem like they would rather die off than have a human help them is dumb. how mean they treat her doesn't make sense to me with how much they need her and who told them they did. The spicy sense are abhorrent. they hate each other until bam they have to screw. No chemistry between these two. Hes a dom (because of course) and it completely falls flat. i had to stop after he said orc dick and tried to give it another chance. Nothing about it is hot, he's just abusing her. and slutling is such a bad nickname. yuck. he uses a METAL CABLE on her! come on. I love a good dark romance and a morally Grey male but this is done so poorly. Please just stay away.

sadly disappointed

I thought the premise of this book could have been great. unfortunately I only made it 3 hours before it became tedious. At 3 hours in H and h should have at least a little chemistry but they really don't. H is critical and belittles h for being weak at every turn even though she never complains. Sad
