About this listen

This audiobook is read by the author and includes historical audio footage from and about the US space program.

If there are places in your heart and corners of your mind that feel just as deep and dark and inaccessible as outer space, this book is for you. Fight as you may, unearthing the happiness and fulfillment you long for can feel nearly impossible.

In Psalm 8 David urges us to consider the heavens, to look up at the night sky. Doing so will help you discover fundamental truths about God. Namely, that - even though his love for you is as beyond comprehension as the farthest corners of the universe - through his Son, you can grab hold of it, and it has the power to transform your inner space.

Best-selling author Levi Lusko shares how you can:

  • learn that life is not about “finding yourself” but discovering who Jesus is
  • believe that God’s love and forgiveness is grander than even your greatest failure
  • buck the mundane of everyday life and start dreaming again

Embark on an adventure tracing the words and wonders of Jesus on his trek to the cross. Let The Last Supper on the Moon compel you to live with a more profound sense of purpose and a grander view of Jesus, and set you on a trajectory to life, and life more abundantly.

Accompanying images, schematics, verses, and glossary are available in the audiobook companion PDF download.

Critic reviews

"A true passion project, Levi has undertaken a fantastic assignment in The Last Supper on the Moon. By combining two of the greatest topics ever: the resurrection of Jesus and space exploration, he's gone where few have gone before, and I love it. Since I met Levi, I have been impressed with his intellect, but inspired by his intentional pastoral pursuit and his desire to see all people come to trust and love Jesus. I cannot think of a better person to have written this resource, and I am confident that God will use it to stir something true, hopeful, and inspiring within you." —Louie Giglio, Pastor of Passion City Church, Founder of Passion Conferences, Author of Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table

"This book is for anyone who feels stuck in their faith and would love to find an invigorating way to get their zeal back. My brilliant friend, Levi, isn't just going to give you fascinating information and inspiration but he'll guide you to do an exploration of the hidden places within our hearts and minds -- the places in us that are most desperate for the gospel truth. Using fascinating facts about outer space, Levi will guide us into an honest look at our own inner space. The Last Supper on the Moon will be one of the most unique and unforgettable resources you've ever read!" —Lysa TerKeurst, #1 New York Times bestselling author and president of Proverbs 31 Ministries

"When Levi told me about The Last Supper on the Moon I nearly dropped the phone. It is the kind of connection only he could make, framed with his signature brilliant insight. In short, it's not just his new book, it's a whole new genre. Read it if you're ready to reach beyond your fears and explore the undiscovered places within." —Steven Furtick, Lead Pastor of Elevation Church, Author of (Un)Qualified and Crash the Chatterbox

Fascinating book

This book is so captivating! I enjoyed every moment. The metaphors within the book are inspired, and the references and personal stories he wove into the book are phenomenal. My appreciation for the moon and each of the Apollo missions has increased, and I loved the way he incorporated the sevens: (7 I AM statements, 7 last sentences on the cross, and 7 letters to the 7 churches). I had never thought about all of the similarities between the moon/Apollo 11 and Jesus' last days and second coming, but I am in awe of Levi Lusko's brilliant connections.

RECOMMEND! MUST READ!

I have never read/heard Jesus and The Bible so relational to me me and to life. Learning about the moon and the space was a must wonderful bonus!
Lusko has an exceptional grasp of the Bible and an amazing way of relating that to listeners' lives. I especially enjoyed his conversational tone. He never sounded like he was reading, but sitting across from me talking.

a really fun listen

I’ve read the physical book and loved it, and I loved this for the same reasons and also for different reasons. The little “asides” where Levi interrupts himself to share something with the listener (content that isn’t in the book), these were really fun. And hearing Levi read his own content and add his own emphasis and personality was very enjoyable.

More than a book, it’s a piece of history and art.

I absolutely loved Levi’s new book for many reasons. The story of traversing the moon mixed with a fresh look at Jesus’ words at the cross tied beautifully together should not be overlooked. The insight in which he ties these moments in history together is masterful.

This book forces you to look up abs within at the same time. It takes you on a journey of both outer space and your inner space.
I listened on Audible and bought the physical book. The photos, diagrams, and artwork displayed in the book make it worth owning!

Don’t hesitate. Get the book. Drown yourself in the journey and discover what is beyond.

Fantastic Eclectic Intriguing

This is a really great book. Filled with interesting history of space exploration and profound theological insights. Levi is a master storyteller. The audio version is great because there are actual clips from historical clips to the moon. Levi also adds a few bonus footnotes not in the print copy.

So worth the read, you'll want the printed book.

Loved. this. book.
I had no interest in the moon, until I listened to Levi's book. The way he woved in God's greatness with history of space flight and facts about the moon, and God's Word was brilliant. I had absolutely no idea that this book was that good. I not only bought the book full price at Barnes&Noble, but I also gave that book to a friend and bought me another one so I could hold it and read it with my eyes. It's that good. I loved that Levi read his own book and conveyed his passion.
Loved. this. book.

How science and faith compliment, rather than contradict, each other

For anyone who has ever looked up in wonder while at the same time attempted to rectify scientific discovery with religion, Levi’s book lays out the compelling case that Jesus gave us the ability to explore without limits through faith in Him. Recounting the unbelievable and seemingly impossible Apollo missions to the moon gives a tangible and practical metaphor for how humans have the ability to set off in the quest of the elusive and impossible, but only through belief in something greater than themselves. Only through the gift Jesus gave us.

Levi - what a great read! Also add a Rocket Lab hat to your NASA and SpaceX sweatshirt and t-shirt combo. Rocket Lab is launching the CAPSTONE mission in May 2022 which is sending a small satellite to test the Near Rectilinear Halo Orbit that will also be used by the Lunar Gateway station for the Artemis missions!
