About this listen

Andre de Laurent is the second son of an extremely wealthy family, which basically means he'll always be number two. That is, until his mother's uncle dies and leaves him a multi-billion-dollar fortune. So what's the trouble? Andre has 60 days to take a wife, and he'll have to remain married for one year or forfeit the inheritance to distant relatives - who are hell-bent on claiming the inheritance as their own.

Aspiring actress Tasha Gordon has never wanted anything quite so much as that big break - until she met Andre de Laurent. Could his offer turn out to be the role of lifetime?

The story of the 2nd de Laurent son is even better

Would you listen to The Marriage Caper again? Why?

The voice of the narrator on this book is absolutely captivating. So much fun when you are listening to romance to have a dreamy voice telling the story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tasha, the heroine, is very strong, and she has great life goals to become an actress. But then she gets a once in a lifetime offer from Andre and cannot turn it down. She's my favorite in the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the moment when she realized that she truly loves Andre and doesn't want to be without him.

Any additional comments?

Loved it!

If you could sum up The Marriage Caper in three words, what would they be?

A stunning romance.

What other book might you compare The Marriage Caper to and why?

The Marriage Bargain. The Marriage Caper follows second son Andre and his search for a bride.

What about William Dufris’s performance did you like?

William's voice has that wonderful dreamy quality which is so perfect for romances.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some parts made me cry because the story was told so beautifully.

Any additional comments?

I've read quite a few of Ms. Edwards' books and this one is the best one yet. Fans of romance will thoroughly enjoy this story.

It should be light, not superficial

I remembered the characters a little bit different from the first book. The voice didn't help entering in the atmosphere. Somehow, a man trying to imitate the high pitched voice of a woman didn't work ok.
The story is the classic she meets him(she met him in the other book, but still...), she marries him, the bad guys try to separate them, they.... well, there is a happy end.
Predictable. Not funny. Superficial story and characters. It reminded me of the sketched stories from cartoons.
