Liked it

Lucius and Olivette's story was fast paced and enjoyable listen. Plenty of adventure to keep my wayward attention and a bit of heat to make me swoon. The narrator did a nice job with creating unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Exciting Story

While experimenting with the effects of the seaweed diet the Mer hope will allow them to go to the surface of the ocean, King Lucius rescues Olivette who has been thrown overboard by an angry cad. Lucius never thought he would be blessed with a mate, but it seems the gods don’t agree. At the same time, there are problems in the dome. The Olympians have an upheaval in their ranks, and it is making life dangerous for the Atlanteans. What will happen is the dome is destroyed? The series ending is exciting and filled with danger, hope, and steamy romance. Will Lucius lose his home and people just as he finds love? Twists, turns, and big surprises lead to the answer and the future of the Mer. Rebecca Cook provides her usual entertaining narration.

Omg!!!

Loved the king since the beginning of the series and I’m so happy that a story was written for him. Definitely a must get.

The King proves he's a hunter...

The King has been an active part of this entire series, and as a result he's a character we've come to know, and I was glad to see get his turn center stage. Here we get a glimpse of his perspective on some things others have shared in their stories, as well as a chance to see the King "off duty".

Olivette can't imagine what she has to offer the Mer, not when compared to the women from the surface who have come before her, but life quickly proves even when she isn't trying to contribute, she can't help but do so.

This is a wonderful series, well crafted, much like a classic whodunit, with pieces being revealed, and gradually falling into place... the stories playing fair with the reader throughout.

The Merman King!

This is the sixth story in the "Lords of the Abyss" series and appears to be the final one. I love the fact the author let Lucius, King of the Mermen, and ruler of the city of Atlantes, find love at last. Plus it was great to see his ex and some of the Olympians finally find their demise. Lucius is headed to the surface with some of his warriors to test the seaweed theory. He does not care about the outcome. He ends up rescuing Olivette. They are immediately drawn to each other. I think this might just be my favorite of all of them. I actually listened to the audio book and thought the narrator did a great job drawing the listener into the story. I love it!

Great series finale

Great series finale with one last rescue of Olivette, the victim of a sexual assault that lands her in the ocean as she struggles to escape the unwanted advances. In swims the Mermaid King on a quest for his people, who feels compelled to save her, Michelle does a wonderful job in wrapping up the series in a tense, yet wonderful way. Lots of world history is shared as the mer people realize that there are more dangers to them than they realized while Olivette and the king start to bond. Villains, heroes and world upheaval make this a wonderful read/listen. The narrator did a good job bringing the story to life. Enjoy!

Great ending to series!

I love how King Lucia's found his mate in the final book in this series. I enjoyed the story and really liked how the series ended. I am a little sad I won't see these characters again, maybe we can get a side story with all these characters. Can't wait to read more stories from this author.

Another Great Addition to the Series

This is the series finale and what a way to end it. Michelle M. Pillow worked her magic with the character work and story line. Rebecca Cook, the narrator, has done a wonderful job in bringing this story to life and making it a joy to listen to as well as to read. A great job done by both Author and Narrator.

So Good.

This is book 6 in the Lords of the Abyss series and is a stand alone book with a really awesome HEA. I have been looking forward to King Lucius story and was not disappointed. Listened to it in one setting. The narrator did a good job of bring each character to life and pulling you into the story. Hoping for more to come in the series.
