Short, but substantial.

What made the experience of listening to The Metamorphosis the most enjoyable?

Listening to the story lets you lie back, close your eyes and really picture everything that is happening to Gregor.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Metamorphosis?

The Metamorphosis is short and well-paced enough that the entire thing is memorable. It's a classic for a reason.

What about Don Amodio’s performance did you like?

He has a steady, pleasant voice. He reads the story in a staid, reflective way that I found I think rather works very well set against the absurdity of the tale.

The Metamorphosis

I love this story, had the chance to listen to another narrator and jumped at the chance. I thought it was well read and presented. If you have not read or listened to this book, I highly recommend it.

A complex classic story.

What made the experience of listening to The Metamorphosis the most enjoyable?

Listening is a different experience then reading for any work but I believe the Audio version
can stimulate many ideas as to the Authors true motivation for writing this story.

What did you like best about this story?

It tries to make you imagine the true purpose of this story and what the lessons if any we can learn from it,

Have you listened to any of Don Amodio’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but he is a good narrator that had a challenge to give a acceptable performance of such
a difficult work.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The transformation of the main character either real or imagined and the reactions of this change to those around him.

Forgot How Much I Liked This Story

I read this classic back in high school, and remembered liking it. After listening to it again, I remembered why. It's a great short story that is really quite creative. It has some deeper meanings (if you like assigning deep meanings to things), or you can simply enjoy it as a story. Franz does a good job of conveying the emotions and oddities of such an odd situation for Gregor. If you enjoy stories that are unlike other stories you have heard, then I would recommend this book. I found the narrator to be a good fit for the book as well.
