Two Enlightening Stories

In the realm of human history, the Mughals were only a dynasty for about 300 years. During that short blip in human history, something magical emerged -- the Taj Mahal. Civil war and strife were common when a Moghal leader died because the princes had to prove their power to rise to the role of ruler.

Very enlightening

Very good and brief review of British Raj and of events at the time. Only the narrator’s pronunciation of the the Indian names and places was many times very incorrect.

What an obscure location and time...

This audible covers a span of history and geography that I know very little about. I learned that the name “Mughal” comes from the Persian word for Mongols and came to mean only the Islamic people of a powerful and rich political entity. That leads us to an introduction of Babur who is considered the father of the Mughal Empire

The audible gives us a very interesting perspective of the history of India in the latter part of the Mughal Empire and India Company of the UK, which opened the presence of the British Empire in India.

No mention of Jinnah

No mention of Pakistans founder Jinnah at all. He picked up on the venom that the Hindus developed against the Muslims and knew very well that Hindus would not let Muslims live peacefully.

With today’s BJP leadership that’s inspired by the Nazis it’s evident that Jinnah made the correct decision.
