Publisher's summary

One dead girl, one scared witness, and two men trained as Navy SEALs. Whether searching for justice or revenge, the final showdown between them is the same - explosive!

Dale MacIntyre, former Navy SEAL, works for Sanctuary. He's the acting handler for a member of the Bullen family's inner circle. He is close to obtaining the evidence he needs to prove Elisabeth Costains death was ordered by them - until someone gets in his way.

Joseph Kinnon, active Navy SEAL, is back on US soil for the first time in months, and he is told the tragic news that his stepsister is dead, gunned down in an alley by an unknown assailant. He is determined to find out who murdered her - until someone gets in his way. They both want the same thing but have different methods of accomplishing their goals.

They both want the Bullen family brought to account, but one wants justice and the other wants revenge. What happens between them, however, has nothing to do with either.

Enjoyable book

I have enjoyed the books in this series and this was no exception. Dale and Joseph were both great characters and the story was pretty fast paced. Now, on to the next one :)

Suspenseful and intriguing.

If you could sum up The Only Easy Day in three words, what would they be?

Fast, Dangerous, Sexy.

What did you like best about this story?

Two strong alpha males facing off against each other.

What does Sean Crisden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings the characters to life.

If you could rename The Only Easy Day, what would you call it?

The Only Easy Day.

Any additional comments?

Joseph Kinnon returns home from active duty in Iraq to learn that his step sister has been murdered. The Navy Seal has one mission on his mind now, finding out who killed Elisabeth and making them pay. But first Joseph has to get past or get on the good side of former Navy Seal turned Sanctuary Operative, Dale MacIntyre.

Dale takes his job very seriously. As a former Seal, he knows how they operate, kick ass then take names, and the last thing he needs muddling up the investigation into the Bullen family is a Seal with a vendetta to settle. Not to mention it would put the lives of Morgan, the witness, and Robert Bullen, the son that is feeding information to Sanctuary, in mortal danger. Since Joseph refuses to back down, Dale has no other choice than to work with the man instead of against him.

Another action packed, fast paced story with a few new players added to the mix, while the reason behind Elisabeth's shooting becomes clearer. There is something about two strong willed, alpha male types coming together that is very sexy. You could see the attraction as each man became aware of it, slowly making advances until they came to a very climaxing ending. Pun totally intended.

Sean Crisden continues to steer and create the voices that bring RJ Scott's characters to life. I particularly enjoyed Joseph, how you could tell his mood as soon as he started talking by the tone or inflection. Dale wasn't very far removed; especially I'm pissed off and want you to know I'm a big, bad, former Navy Seal Dale. My favorite aspect to this story was how the intensity of both the storyline and the characters was evident in how the story was read.

This is the second installment of a series that must be read in order, think of it as a continuation of the first story. If you don't start with Guarding Morgan, you'll be somewhat lost in the story. Definitely worth the time to start at the beginning, a series worth listening to.

It was okay

I enjoyed the story & the action. The love portion, not so much. They spent a little time together & most of it the couldn't stand each other. Then they have sex like twice & they are in love & want a forever with each other? I didn't buy it.

The Only Easy Day

Second book in the Sanctuary Series continues along after book one left off, but follows a new set of Main Characters. Dale (Nicks partner from book one) is still helping Nick and Morgan investigate and try to find out more about the Murder Morgan saw and the mystery surrounding it. Joseph is a Navy Seal and is also the brother of the girl who Morgan saw murdered. When Joseph comes home on leave he decides he’s going to find out what happened. Whether Dale (Nick & Morgan) want his help or not. This book had a lot more action than the first one and it was a great continuation of the series! Even though these guys don’t meet until a ways into this book, and their hate-to-love relationship is fast this book leaves us with more of a happy for now Vibe, like their story isn’t quite finished yet.
Sean Crisden does a great job continuing this narration from the first book and jumping fluidly into this one. I really liked his voices for Joseph and Dale and their times together made for some steamy scenes. I can’t wait to hear how the next book goes.

Too Short

Too short, fast and insta-everything. Yes, it is a bit of a set-up for the storyline that weaves through the series, but it’s still just a bit of fluff. Sean did a good job narrating it, so that helped.

umm character development??

This book could do with a few extra chapters. there was absolutely zero build in the relationship and they fall in love in matter of days?
The whole thing was so far from believable that I'm glad it was free with the romance package.
Sean is excellent as per usual. but still not enough to make it an interesting book.
