truly enjoyable

I really loved the voice over on these books. It was so inviting and entertaining. The stories themselves was really good.

Bien fait, M. Patterson!

I loved these novelettes. I listen while driving to work and they kept me engaged the whole time. I was sorry when they ended and hope there will be further stories with Luc and Katherine.

Did not enjoy this series

Found the main character tired and overused. Plus the arrogance of him was really off putting. It took till the last story in this book before I began to enjoy any of it. I guess by then the character of K. Burke made up for Moncrief Either way I was very disappointed with this series and I love James Patterson.

why so not good

I'm a avid audio book listener, I have close to 300 books in my library. this was HARD to finish. All the minor details and the fall short jokes made it hard.

didn't really like the performance and didn't believe the grief. It did get better as it progressed.

Could have been better

It wasn’t one of his best as I was respecting more, it was just ok for me

Captivating!

I really love the narrator Jean Brassard. He brought these books life. I couldn't have enjoyed it more (at this level.) I could see, hear and feel it all play out in plain view. Of Course James Patterson is the Genius behind everything. He is truly gifted (blessed ) with talent to create and craft a story line. He keeps me interested and craving more and more. My biggest wish is for More of "The Paris Detective."
I loved everything. There should be a movie production. If I had any influence at all, I would make it happen. And I would have a two to three minute cameo appearance somewhere at the end of the movie.
I can dream.

I liked it, but I didn't love it

My first James Patterson audiobook was excellent so I was expecting to love this, my second one, just as much. Somehow these 3 mysteries didn't grab me. They also seemed to be solved quite suddenly - the detective figured stuff out in his head, then boom - he announced his conclusions. I really liked Jean Brassard's voice and the many French phrases sprinkled throughout, though, and I WILL try another James Patterson novel. I'm not giving up on this author just yet!

I enjoyed this book. it is a collection of several short stories all with the same characters. the French detective on loan to the NYC police is delightful and entertaining.
