About this listen
In this remarkable program, The Power of Chi: Applying Far Eastern Insights for Effortless Living, Robert Pino reveals those secrets, explains them, and fine-tunes them for use in the world we live in today. Robert has devoted years to studying the wisdom traditions of the Far East, including many forms of martial arts and the philosophical teachings of Buddhism and Taoism. At the same time, he's built a successful career as an author, corporate consultant, and management coach. Drawing on his unique background in the spiritual underpinnings of success and personal fulfillment, Robert identifies specific principles for connecting with chi and the dramatic transformation it can bring. What's more, he links these principles with specific strategies and tactics for applying them every day. The Wisdom of Chi isn't a history lesson or a philosophy seminar. It's a clear-cut program for getting everything you want and deserve, with the basic energy of the universe as your personal power source! Over the course of these 12 highly informative sessions, you'll learn:
- What chi really is - and why it has always been understood by great thinkers and achievers.
- How to recognize your unique mission in life - and how chi can let you turn your mission into a reality.
- The role of chi in bringing body, mind, and spirit into perfect alignment.
- What time really is and isn't - and how chi makes time work for you rather than against you.
- The differences between chance and personal destiny - and the power of chi to bridge that gap.
- How the energy of chi can carry you beyond self-created boundaries that limit so many people.
- How to share the energy of chi with other.

Story
At the beginning of his career, Joseph Campbell developed a lasting fascination with the cultures of the Far East, and explorations of Buddhist and Hindu philosophy later became recurring motifs in his vast body of work. However, Campbell had to wait until middle age to visit the lands that inspired him so deeply. In 1954, he took a sabbatical from his teaching position and embarked on a year-long voyage through India, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and finally Japan.

Story
I almost didn’t publish Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It. Here I was, a CEO who’d fallen apart after his company failed, writing a book about how loving himself saved him. I thought I’d be a laughingstock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. The book went viral. Amazing people all over bought copies for friends and family. For some, this book saved their lives. For others, it was the first time they ever loved themselves.

Story
The Inner Smile is a practice that focuses gratitude and joy on the internal organs to resolve the physical and mental tensions that can lead to illness. In Taoism negative emotions - anger, sadness, depression, fear, and worry - are seen as low-grade energy that causes chronic disease and steals our major life force by creating energy blockages. Master Mantak Chia shows that the internal awareness produced by the simple yet powerful Inner Smile meditation practice flushes the organs of negative energy that may be blocking chi energy flow in order to nourish the entire body.

Story
Chronic fatigue, burnout, brain fog-no matter what we call it, our constant feeling of being drained affects all that we hold dear. But the very real culprits of our fatigue don't lie in our preconceived notions of caffeine intake or adrenal fatigue, nor does the replenishment of our energy lie in overhauling our lifestyle in time-consuming and unrealistic ways. Instead, the core underlying cause lies in our cells, specifically our mitochondrial deficiency, and the solution can be found in simple, straightforward, nutritional strategies that address our body's biology.

You might believe you’re thinking clearly in the moments that matter most. But in all likelihood, when the pressure is on, you won’t be thinking at all. And your subsequent actions will inevitably move you further from the results you ultimately seek—love, belonging, success, wealth, victory. According to Farnam Street founder Shane Parrish, we must get better at recognizing these opportunities for what they are, and deploying our cognitive ability in order to achieve the life we want.

Story
In Super Bowl XLIX, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll made one of the most controversial calls in football history: With 26 seconds remaining, and trailing by four at the Patriots' one-yard line, he called for a pass instead of a handing off to his star running back. The pass was intercepted, and the Seahawks lost. Critics called it the dumbest play in history. But was the call really that bad? Or did Carroll actually make a great move that was ruined by bad luck? Even the best decision doesn't yield the best outcome every time.

Story
Twenty-five years ago, Neil Howe and the late William Strauss dazzled the world with a provocative new theory of American history. Looking back at the last 500 years, they’d uncovered a distinct pattern: modern history moves in cycles, each one lasting roughly 80 to 100 years, the length of a long human life, with each cycle composed of four eras—or “turnings”—that always arrive in the same order and each last about 25 years. The last of these eras—the fourth turning—was always the most perilous, a period of civic upheaval and national mobilization.

What would have made The Power of Chi better?
As an educator I would give the author an F. He is too abstract and does not connect the dots for you to use his information to apply to everyday living. Also his interpretation of the Tao is contradictory. He talks at too high a level of abstraction.I have taught Tai Chi for over 20 years. His messages gets weighed down in complexity. What was most disappointing about Robert Pino’s story?
His use of the concept of Chi is confusing and scattered. How did the narrator detract from the book?
His narration lacked sincerity. He comes across as looking to make money off a concept that's hard to understand. If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Power of Chi?
He should have reduced the pages and simplify his message into a powerful tool for people.Maybe he is writing to all his future executive accounts.Any additional comments?
If you want to read a practical way to apply the Tao and Tai Chi I would highly recommend combining "The Way of The Urban Warrior" and 'Change Your Thought Change Your Life"The are powerful applications of Chi and Taoist healing techniques that will transform your life....instead of some abstractions by someone targeting a wealthy clientele for profit.Good Info Communcated Poorly
