Oops - Abridged

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I read this book many years ago and got hooked on Archer's story telling. This is one of Archer's best works but this abridgement took way took much out. The relationship to Edward and her arch rival (Ralph Brooks) were too edited to get the true story.

Prodical Daughter

Enjoy the way Mr. Archer develops his stories. Moving story about a woman and the trials they go through.

So much has been left out
Very disappointing

Abridged Recap

I was disappointed in this. Too much recap from the previous book. I was more interested in the future than finding out what happens in the character's past. The author dwells at length on her backstory and given there is only 3 hours to go here, I was quite bored.

Disappointing

This book was not as captivating as Kane & Abel. Seemed to have very little action and was rather predictable. The narrator was terrible, too. I don't think she read Kane and Abel because the way she portrayed the characters were way off.
