Publisher's summary

It's the dawn of the 22nd century. Rebel scientist Dr. James Trainer has enhanced his children's intelligence, 17-year-old twins, Jaya and Jeven, to levels deemed illegal by the state.

When a protective shield fails, J&J are discovered and must go on the run. After being hounded through the skies and under the ocean by SWAT-bots and a Compliance Verification Team, they're forced to escape using their high school class project that mimics The Philadelphia Experiment.

They create a time-bridge across hyperspace that connects with family members from an earlier era, setting off earth rattling events.

A new voice in sci-fi/fantasy

An engrossing sci-fi fantasy of a dystopian future that's not so dissimilar from where we seem to be headed today. I listened to the Audible version, which is well-read and gripping. Definitely feels like the beginning of a promising series--and motion picture potential!

YA Novel for Futuristic Time Traveling Listeners

This novel begins in the 2090’s with the main two characters being around 16 and capable of performing incredible calculations in a nanosecond.

The two go on a harrowing journey back in time to Vegas in the late 1990’s, concealing their identities for protection. However, being teenagers, their actions attract the wrong kind of attention.

With the help of a kind, older couple and a suburban family of six, the two teens experience life in a time only read about in history books.

The narrator is great and does an excellent job while switching between characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook and can’t wait to see what comes next.

I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my unbiased review.

Intriguing Hard Science Fiction

This is a hard book to quantify. As far as hard science fiction, the author is very well researched and his ideas are probably not so far distant future realities. He goes in depth into explanations about how the devices and machines are possible and more than likely probable. There in lies the problem. If you’re interested in these types of things, it’s fascinating reading. If you’re looking for action, adventure and a good rollicking story you may be disappointed. So if you like to nerd out on some really cool inventions you will love it. If you want blood and guts and gunplay, you won’t.

Fun, Time Travel and Adventure!

The Project: Game Time 4 Time Game is an interesting story of twins, Jaya and Jeven who are discovered to be outside the accepted “human” levels of intelligence. Their father, Dr. James Trainer has made some modifications to his children placing them with a target on their back. Hunted by SWAT-bots and others wanting to enforce the rules, the twins use their high school class project and hyperspace to the past – 1990’s where they interact with their younger dad and other family members. Sometimes J & J are too smart for their own good especially when they secure funds from a crooked-spoiled-egomaniac-casino-mobster-like guy. The fun and danger ensue!

The character development is well done as is the storyline and dialog. I found myself intensely liking some characters and finding others totally dislikeable. When an author can do this, they are successful at character development. I found the plot with twists and turns to be original but also with a twinge of Back to the Future and the Matrix combined.

The author, Michael David Cochran, has a delightful writing style that engages his audience. The story and plot twists are strong and fresh. It is clear that Cochran took his time to weave the story and characters into a story that has many messages that are subtle but present, nonetheless.

I enjoyed listening to Nan McNamara’s performance. Well done with the appropriate amount of enthusiasm and soothing tones. The performance was smoothly delivered and controlled throughout.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to listening to more written by Cochran.

Sci-Fi favorite theme of teen age time travel.

The Project: Game Time 4 Time Game drops mentally and physically augmented teen twins into a mind boggling, speed of light roller coaster ride into the past.
Splash down with Jaya and Jeven as they escape the enhancement police one hundred years into the past to 1999 suburban Las Vegas. Although they have what seems like unlimited mental referencing powers, with the help of their personal assistant avatar Bernard. They are still teenagers and make some of the mistakes all teenagers gonna make. This makes for some gut busting belly laughs and some teeth grinding adventure. Mr. Cochran also ties incredibly relevant socio-political commentary into their futuristic observations. Good Show!
I also like tight science and reference; the author obviously did his homework. I am looking forward to the follow up books to see how he ties it all together.
