Loved it

I absolutely loved this book. It is one of those books I am keeping in my favorites to revisit in the future when I want reflect on my life and values. I can't tell you how many times I re-heard chapters to make sure I savored every word. I even bought a compilation of Khalil's works since I do think there are benefits to both listening and reading his work. The narration performance was great but I like to reserve my 5th star for the most amazing performances (P.S. I've only given 5 stars once so far).

Good performance, it's missing something .

The prophet is a great collection of poems that make you reevaluate your circumstances. The author's words make you stop and think, but the narrator's voice can make sleepy. It's not bad for a 1 hour book, but it feels incomplete.

Insightful if you can understand

if you're an introspective thinker, this book is for you. we would have a better world if more people thought the way described by the prophet

Timeless nourishment for the soul

40 years since I first heard these words and they still move me. They are a comfort in these dark days

Literally the best book!

I almost know this book by heart. I received it as a gift at a very dark time in my life many, many years ago. It comforts me just as much now as it did at my first reading. Hearing it on Audible made an already beautiful experience even more breathtaking.
I’ll listen again tomorrow.

A New Favorite to Listen to Again and Again!

what a treasure to find such a timeless classic AND paired with an appropriate narrator! I rarely buy audiobooks outright with cash, but I certainly am glad I did. It is equally rare to find an author who is such a wordsmith, weaving together a beautiful poetic prose in such a way that is both glorious and unpretentious. The only comparison I know of is Rabindranath Tagore, another favorite of mine.
