Run rabbit run!

Elise Liddell is no country girl, but she’s not averse to the existence of rabbits.

Especially cute and fluffy white ones.

But there’s one on the loose in Tumble Town.

And that particular sweet bunny turns out to be a harbinger of death....

Every time Elise spots it, she soon discovers another corpse. Keen to help her ex-colleagues at the Ministry of Witches Police Department solve the murders, Elise launches her own investigation alongside the rest of her team at the Wonderland Detective Agency.

The problem is, they’re not the only ones trying to get to the bottom of the situation...and now the hunters have become the hunted.

The Wonderland Detective Agency Series is a paranormal cozy mystery series, set in the same universe that Wonky Inn audiences have already fallen in love with. While some of the characters and places will be instantly familiar, Wycherley effortlessly casts her spell so that her zany new friends quickly become ours, too.

Clean and cozy, The Rabbit Hole Murders, the second book in this wonderful new series, is chock-full of witches, wizards, warlocks, ghosts, shadow people, rabbits, and more. You’ll love this glimpse into the darker side of the Wonkyverse.

This is the second of a new series and as such shows a lot of weakness. It does have potential to be a top notch Detective story.
I found it mildly entertaining but I do have trouble with focusing attention.
The narrator on the other hand needs improvement. Her voices are close in sound which is distracting. Elise's voice has a slur which I don't recall from the earlier story.
So far her ghost partner has very little to do with the story. I hope this changes.

Again a banger of a performance and a good story to carry it home. You have to live with cliffhangers but I still think it is worth it.

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Anchored by another extraordinary performance by narrator Joanna Lee, The Rabbit Hole Murders takes its listeners deeper into that makes Tumble Town and its surroundings a totally wild place to live. As Elise Liddel's private deter agency begins to take off, she could have never imagined that she would a literal "Alice" chasing a mysterious white rabbit all over town. Where the animal takes Elise is to numerous dead bodies marked by a strange tattoo... that only leads to more strange questions. Falling down his rabbit "hole" leads Elise into darker places of Tumble Town and even a very bizarre and dangerous undercover job with the enigmatic Dark Squad to catch these shadowy killers- and discover that Elise is only just beginning to unravel the town's true danger.

Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one in the series. I thought the mystery was complex and convoluted, so that I was always guessing as to the outcome. I listened to some segments with bated breath as there were some tense moments. I liked Elise Liddell as she was feisty and determined. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I thought Joanna Lee's narration was easy to follow and reflected the aura of the tale. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
