About this listen

The third Left Behind pequel. Time seems to slow as the clock ticks down. Pan-Con Airlines captain Rayford Steele prepares for a flight to London with beautiful flight attendant Hattie Durham. Because of his wife's newfound faith, Rayford looks forward to time and the possibilities with Hattie.

Journalist Cameron "Buck" Williams is in Israel when the Russians attack, and he experiences for himself the miraculous deliverance of the Holy Land. Buck cannot deny Chicago bureau chief Lucinda Washington's insistence that the event was prophesied in Scripture, though he dares to not consider the personal ramifications.

Jerry Sciarrio read this story like it was a news report instead of a piece of fiction. He had a few voices but none were consistent.

News report

Love the vision of heaven, after the rapture based on scripture and the authors vision. Made me long for the rapture even more.

Excellent

I enjoyed the closure on the whole story. But.. This was probably one of the worst narrator performances I've heard. Not that he stuttered or slurred; this guy should have been a sports commentator. He talked super fast and didn't change voices for different characters, which sometimes made it hard to follow a conversation of two people. To me it sounded like he didn't care for what he was reading and just wanted to get through it as fast as he could..

Great story as always. Didn't like the narrator

The narrator was one of the best I've heard in a audio book and was able to characterize multiple characters using different accents. This helped me visualize the subplots of which their were a few which kept the book entertaining like a movie. The author was able to illistrate one theory of end times quite well - pretrib rapture. Not being a pretrib theorist I liked this book nonetheless .

Great story lines

Would you consider the audio edition of The Rapture to be better than the print version?

I would, I haven't read it, it seems more adventures than the book, the narator is good

Would you recommend The Rapture to your friends? Why or why not?

no

Which character – as performed by Jack Sondericker – was your favorite?

Irene, I really loved how he did her voice

If you could take any character from The Rapture out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Irene, I would like to talk to her about her faith.

Amazing Narrator, not so well written

Jerry Scarrio enhances the story with marvelously performed, yet understandable, character accents. He makes the story come alive!

Accents are amazing!
