About this listen

Edgar Allen Poe's masterful poem, The Raven, is a strange and haunting story of lost love. Masterpiece

To write a review of The Raven can be summed up in one word: PERFECTION

I remember the very first time I read this poem in school...I was spellbound. The narration offered here does an excellent job of capturing the essence of the eerie and troubling nature of Poe’s characters decent into heartbreaking madness over his tragic loss. The background enhancements are just right as is the music.

I highly recommend this rendition of this literary masterpiece.

Great Poem, great performance!!!!

The rhyme of this poem simply lulls you into hypnosis. So clever and direct. Its also very heartfelt. Showing how a man can become so heartbroken at the loss of his love that his sanity comes imto question.
Also the sound effects and background music are absolutely perfect!! So much so that I'm nlw looking for other dramatized works hoping for the same quality! Highly recommended!!!

Used a credit for 18 minute poem!

It will be a favorite because of its length and the sounds, perfect for a ladies’ Halloween book club program and for memorizing the poem, since I didn’t in high school.

Terrible sound effects

I enjoyed the poem, but it would have been better without all the loud background music and sound effects. They were distracting and almost covered over the words of the poem. The reading was well done, though.
