About this listen

USA Today best-selling author William Johnstone has millions of copies of his smash hit Mountain Man series in print, including Warpath of the Mountain Man.

Making his way through California with his faithful companion, Dog, Frank Morgan joins a family traveling south to start a new life. Everything changes when a vicious pack of outlaws raids their party, stealing the women and nearly killing Frank. He knows Val Dooley's gang is behind the kidnappings, and he vows revenge.

Audie winner George Guidall's narration perfectly complements this tale of hot lead and revenge.

Another good one in the series

Another winner in the series. What is nice is that I have not followed the series in sequence but it does not matter, each book stands on its own.

George Guidal

There are no words for the narration of George Guidal... the way his voice changes for different characters, like a play being acted out on stage with different cast members.. and different actors.. even the women... he is amazing.... I fear that as he ages we may lose his talents... I listen to books only to hear him sometimes. However, on the westerns such as this one, he is especially great and the story is so evocative of the Old West..

If George Guidall brought you to this series stay for the stories!

The narrator is a five-star in his prime.
The author writes a great western and I see myself finishing the series and looking for any other books he wrote. If you need a break from the Mitch Rapp type books I strongly suggest you start with book 6 of the Lone Gunslinger series (Guidall picks up narrating at book 6 though the others might be great but I typically avoid multiple narrator audiobooks)
