Publisher's summary

"A long and happy marriage." It sounds like the end of a fairy tale - an illusion that modern times have exposed.

And it is, if marriage depends on a constant stream of romantic emotion, or even on copious amounts of time or money. Thank the Lord, none of those are necessary. Two thousand years ago, Paul gave women the key to a successful marriage, and it can be summed up in two words: unconditional respect. It's not popular. It doesn't sound fair. It can be hard to imagine.

But it works. Nina Roesner has led countless women through this practical and life-changing journey, and in The Respect Dare she offers you the hope that so many others have found. Day by day, true stories and thought-provoking questions will help you apply biblical wisdom to the most important relationship in your life. The audiobook is filled with stories of struggle and success, and many practical applications of respect that have dramatically impacted marriages.

Give it 40 days. Experience the intimacy God intended and discover what he can do in your heart and in your marriage when you choose to show respect his way.

Timely

This brought such conviction to my heart and spirit, while also giving hope through the scriptures and stories and strength to go forth with change. Forgiving my self was the biggest challenge because the mirror of the daily Dares was glaring and I was so humbled.
My husband and I met when I was twelve and he was 15, we started dating in JHS. We got married when I was 17, became a military family, divorced for 7 yr and have been remarried now for over 40ys.
If there is such a thing as a soul mate he is mine. I never realized how disrespectful my behavior and verbal communication was towards him, I think I never saw him as more than my best friend and boyfriend. I didn’t know what respect or disrespect looked like for or to a man, (I was the oldest of 4 children and the only girl).
My heart has softened toward my husband because of what was shared in this book.
Whom the Father Loves he chastises…
I receive it and I am grateful to this author

Could not listen to narrator's voice :/

I liked the book for the most part but I wish I would have read the book myself vs listening to it on Audible. The narrator's voice made me feel like I was listening to a Disney bedtime story. I just couldn't shake it off. While listening to the book, I felt like I was getting lectured by my mom.
