About this listen

It's 2087. Mankind has eradicated war, poverty, and jobs. Robots now perform all work. Humans live free to strive for pure happiness and aesthetic perfection. Everyone except for Reid Rosales. Unhappy with joy, unfulfilled by satisfaction, in the throes of a creative slump, Reid longs for something - anything - to help him rise above the easy pleasures of humanity's perfected society. Reid thinks he's the only one, until he stumbles on Club 20c, a 20th-century nostalgia club. There he finds his calling in the long-lost virtues of a harder life...but at what cost?

A different look at the Utopian/Dystopian genre

This Utopian story is a detailed look into the main characters life during a sort of midlife crisis. I was kept intrigued the whole time as it was easy to think how this could potentially be our own future and let me just say that the ending had me reeling.

Kept me listening

I didn’t see the plot twist coming, so kudos to the author. This book flowed really well, and it was easy to listen to it while going throughout my day. The narrator’s voice is very soothing yet didn’t put me to sleep. Well done
