About this listen

The ancient kingdom of Alcedon, the sun-blessed realm that has known only peace for generations, now beset by bloody rebellion sparked by the emergence of an ancient evil ...

Into this troubled land comes Guyime, legendary ravager king of the North made immortal by the demonic sword he carries. Leading his band of sword bearers, Guyime must prevent the arch-demon Kalthraxis claiming the Warlord’s Tulwar, the last of the seven demon-cursed blades. To do so he is forced to ally himself with the king of Alcedon and lead his army onto the dreaded Road of Storms, to fight a war that may cost all their lives and seal the fate of the world ...

Continuing the epic saga of the Seven Swords, The Road of Storms is a compelling adventure of war and intrigue from the New York Times best-selling author of the Raven’s Shadow and The Covenant of Steel trilogies.

Home Run! Mr. Ryan packs so much detail into each book, while keeping it interesting!

I read this Mr.Ryans books twice, minimally, and still find them enjoyable. That is a rare gift from an author.

My least favorite of "The Seven Swords" series

Anthony Ryan is one of my favorite fantasy writers. I've read or listened to everyone of his books. This book felt rushed. The character development and interaction seemed repetitive, especially when it came to Seeker. She's turned into a whining figure, completely obsessed with her daughter, yet seemingly oblivious to the carnage that her daughter has wrought under the influence of the "desiccator". The best part for me was her morning-star exploding in Seeker's hands. What I thought it lacked was the magical/mystery aspect of the the previous books.
