Publisher's summary

Rock balancing is the practice of stacking stones one on top of another, creating structures that range from simple towers to amazingly elaborate edifices that seem to defy gravity. People balance rocks as a way of connecting to nature, to challenge their limits, as a therapeutic mindfulness practice and simply to have fun! This is the first guide to this meditative art, combining technical instructions and mindfulness advice with spectacular photographs of the incredible balances built by Travis Ruskus.

As the book takes you through the techniques of rock balancing, it explains how to breathe properly as each moment comes, face your fears and go beyond your previous limits. It also discusses how to let go and destroy your balances, leaving nature in a pristine state.

Follow step-by-step techniques to master key rock balancing skills at both beginner and advanced level.

Explore challenges such as balancing ten rocks from smallest to biggest, building a bridge, and counter-balancing.

Discover meditative exercises to find your breath, connect with the Earth, unlock creativity, manifest abundance into your life, and much more.

A True Inspiration

It's almost as if this book was destined to find me. In addition to balancing rocks, Travis gives us insight into his own spiritual awakening, and what led him down the path of self discovery. All ideas that can be applied to your own life, and expressed through the beautiful art of balancing rocks.

If you're at the beginning of your spiritual journey, I highly recommend this art form and this book. From balancing in nature to your own zen gardens, Travis explains how to safely and responsibility balance while incorporating meaningful meditation. My only regret is not reading this sooner!

May you be happy
May you be well
May you be safe
May you be at peace

This book has made a huge, positive impact in my life. Thank You Travis.

I liked your wording that you used and how slowly, clearly you spoke. You are one of the reasons I began rock balancing in the first place and this book solidified it for me that I would like to pursue this art form in my life as somewhat of a career eventually. The techniques you shared will help that foundation of rock balancing that we all do desperately need (especially in the beginning). Again, Thank You Travis!
