About this listen

The last time I saw my best friend's younger brother, he was a geek wearing braces. But when Cannon shows up to crash in my spare room, I get a swift reality check.

Now 24, he's broad shouldered and masculine, and so sinfully sexy, I want to climb him like the jungle gyms we used to enjoy. At six-foot-something with lean muscles hiding under his T-shirt, a deep sexy voice, and full lips that pull into a smirk when he studies me, he's pure temptation.

Fresh out of a messy breakup, he doesn't want any entanglements. But I can resist, right?

I'm holding strong until the third night of our new arrangement when we get drunk and he confesses his biggest secret of all: he's cursed when it comes to sex. Apparently he's a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him.

I'm calling bullshit. In fact, I'm going to prove him wrong, and if I rack up a few much-needed orgasms in the process, all the better.

There's no way I'm going to fall in love with Cannon. But once we start...I realize betting against him may have been the biggest mistake of my life.

This book was really good paced and the romance was very good! ❤️ I loved how Cannon was responsible and honorable and still had a sexy side to him, his dedication to his family melted my heart!

Good Read!

This was a decent listen but at times the book dragged on with unnecessary scenes...it shifted the focus from the main characters. I wanted more Cannon and Paige and less of Mom’s issues.

Good but Dragged on

This was my favorite of the four Room Mate series novels. I’m a sucker for the falling in love with your sibling’s best friend trope. Added to that, Paige and Cannon become roommates courtesy of the latest crazy woman that caused Cannon to get kicked out of his apartment. Paige and Cannon grew up together as well and already had a shared history, another check mark on my list of favorite elements in a romance. I liked how they were finally able to find a great solution to what seemed to be a couple of huge stumbling blocks to their ability to give their attraction a chance to go the distance in a committed relationship.

I loved the audiobook performances by Ava Erickson and especially Jeremy York on this one. Their excellent acting choices made this a delightful listen. I’ve lost track now of how many times I re-listened to this novel.

A new 2018 favorite!

I forget how much Jeremy York sounds like Mister Rogers to me, not that it’s a bad thing but it isn’t impressive for the naughty bits. Then it just sounds awkward. Maybe I should read the romance books he narrates.

Mister Rogers

The male narrator for this book is really as bad as all the reviews say. I would never spend that credit on this book. It was an OK listen through the Audible romance package. And I think it could be a cute read on Kindle.
But the male narrator made the male character sound predatory.
It was also a fairly flimsy story, but I still like flimsy stories.

Male Narrator Really is that Bad

Take a sexy med student and move him in with his sister's very attractive best friend and you've got a recipe for a fantastic read.

Cannon was this great mix of smart, determined, caring and super hot alpha male. I loved it. Paige was something Cannon wasn't used to. A mature woman with her life together. While they both knew the other should be off limits to one another, their roommate status proves to be too much temptation to resist.

I loved the concept of this story, I loved the characters, I loved the narrators, and I loved that it was so easy to lose myself in. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Didn't want to judge the book by its title, but the plot was predictable. However, telling the story from two points of view made it decent.
