About this listen

British bad boy Sterling Quinn needs a wife. After his great-grandfather, the former prince something or another, passes and leaves him millions, he's shocked to discover the massive inheritance has a clause - he needs to clean up his image and be married in order to receive his millions.

When word gets out that this hottie has royal blood running through his veins, and is on the prowl for Mrs. Right, crazy ex-girlfriends, school-yard crushes, and thousands of other hopeful women flock to his doorstep.

What he needs is a manager to help him sort through the clutter.

Enter Camryn Palmer, PR executive. Camryn has had a front row seat to her friend Sterling's revolving-door of a love-life for years. But when she's hired to clean up his image and manage the hordes of women cruising through his bedroom door, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Literally.

Yes, she has secret fantasies about being the one to keep his bed warm - what woman doesn't? He's sinfully attractive, and she wants to kiss that cocky English accent right off his lips, but she's got a job to do. She's a professional through and through, and besides, an arranged marriage could never be a happy one. Right?

Short Story

Love the male voice but the female voice annoyed me. Story is predictable but.....good.

Absolutely great!!

I loved this story and all the characters. I honestly believe you will also. The narrator’s were really great and helped make the story. Would listen to it again in the future. It’s one of those books.

the Bachelor meets speed dating!

Ava and John NAILED this audio! They were perfect as Cam and Sterling.

Sterling finds himself in an ironic situation where now HE needs to find a wife in order to collect an inheritance he didn't even know he was entitled to. He finds himself in need of the help of Camryn in order to find a match of convenience. They find they have quite a bit in common and a mutual attraction.
Loved how dedicated he was to his mom and how hard it was to make his decision.
This HEA was perfection.

** I want to note this is part of a series but can most definitely be listened as a standalone.

Worth the read

While this may not be one of my favorites, it was worth the time. Narrators did a good job but storyline was a bit redundant in places.

Great story, narration leaves something to be desired.

The story was great. The female narrator was great. The male narrator sounded exactly the the British Siri I have on my phone. He was awful, very metered and monotonous. It detracted from the story.

Dialect coach, please!

The story was okay. Pretty predictable, but many of this genre are formulaic and resort to the same tropes. I still like them though. It was a little unrealistic how very long it took the main characters to come to the oh so obvious solution, but again, not a complete deal breaker. What made me crazy was the “English” accent Ava Erickson attempted (and failed at) with this one. I generally like her, a lot, so it pains me to say this. She’s lovely to listen to in other books, but for the love of all that’s holy and for the sake of my ears, please, please, make sure the actor does at least a passable version of the accent in the book before contracting them. This was laughable and so irritating. I spent so much time focusing on her pronunciation, I sometimes missed what was actually said.

Interesting

It was an interesting listen. I really persevered through the entire book. I couldn’t get used to the male narrator because he sounds so old.

You will love listening to these velvety voices read this great story!!

This is The Fix Up written by Kendall Ryan. I really enjoyed watching the British bad boy fall all the way down the rabbit hole! Sterling has to marry to get his inheritance and he will be going kicking and screaming. Camryn has been hired as his match maker and is tasked with the job of finding just the right person for him. Well of course things get a bit more complicated once they start working together. It’s a fresh look at a great trope. Loved it!!
