Publisher's summary

Two childhood enemies. One adventure-filled summer. And an unexpected romance they're trying hard to resist....

Penny Heart likes to play it safe...in life and in love.

When she’s asked to brave her town's most thrilling adventures to revamp their outdated guidebook, things quickly go from bad to worse. The person assigned to help? None other than her childhood nemesis.

His dimpled grin and endearing charm might fool other women, but she wouldn’t trust the notorious prankster with her potted cactus...let alone her heart.

Colt Davis has spent his entire life fulfilling his father’s dying wish. But something about being home — and the intriguing redhead who owns the local antique store — has him questioning everything.

As they tackle each adventure, and the rush of adrenaline grows to a genuine connection, will their differences push them further apart?

Or could a long-kept secret be the key to their happily ever after?

Visit the quaint, charming town of Poppy Creek where strangers become family and hope and love always prevail. Each book in the heartwarming, small-town romance series is a clean and wholesome read suitable for the entire family. While each story is complete, the series is best when listened to in order.

Adventure, romance, a little mystery

We are back in the small town of Poppy Creek for the 3rd installment, though this can be read as a stand alone novel.

Familiar faces are all back from earlier books.
Penny is a woman who although kind hearted and friendly -lives in her bubble, trapped by fear. Colt is her polar opposite in every way. As they complete these daring adventures together, Penny realizes just how isolated she has let her life become.

Penny deals with facing her fears and it was hard not to see parallels in my own life.

Bloome is masterful at describing each adventure so you truly feel in the story.

The narrator somehow manages to keep the voices distinct even from book to book. Her voice is soothing and calm.

Wonderful cozy story that left me sad it had ended as I just needed more time in Poppy Creek. It's got small town charm, witty banter and an intriguing heroine. I highly recommend. There's something magical about the ending. It's a redemptive story that left me smiling ear to ear. Highly recommend

not for me…

I always like to start out by saying reviews are subjective. This was awful for me. I hesitated to even give it two stars. The whole adventure storyline just isn’t my thing. I was so bored but felt invested and spent the credit…so I didn’t want to give up on it. I liked the first book so much, I really had high hopes for this one. Now I’m not sure I want to go forward with the series though. I do have the option of returning a book and getting my credit back but I’ve already returned three and I don’t want to take advantage. The narrator is good…I loved her in the first book. I feel like she was a little off in this one. But still good. So not sure how helpful this is going to be, lol. I just didn’t like the story at all. It doesn’t mean the author did a bad job, though. It’s just the content wasn’t interesting for me. It’s so hard with series, especially when you are really sucked in with the first book. I do find I don’t like series that much that continue with different characters. If I like a first book it’s usually because I attach to the main characters in that one, so just because the second book is set in the same town, I’m not necessarily going to like the books going forward with new characters. I really would have liked to hear more about Eliza Ben and Grant.
