Too short

This audiobook had a very interesting premise, but it was too short to build the world and background or to develop the story.sufficiently. It felt like a sample of a couple chapters of a novel. The story was not complete and I felt a little cheated. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. If I had paid for it, I would have been mad and would have wanted my money back. I liked what was there, but there wasn't enough for this to be sold as a stand-alone story. The narration was okay, but the demon would have been better performed by a deeper, aka male, voice.

Bob @ Platypire Reviews

*I received a copy of this audio book to be honestly reviewed*

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Hey man, I wasn't finished listening to this yet!

Interesting premise, and the main demon character seems like he could be quite entertaining. Wasn't really enough to find out for sure, but definitely enough to have me wanting the next!

Narration was fine, though the deep, threatening voice that was meant to frighten mortals could've used another person. Not her fault, just needed a deep voiced guy lol. Everything else was fine except for saying "ion" where I assume the word was "eon". Nice pace, nice voice.

Interesting World

This paranormal romance is a short novella that begins the story of a young human and a centuries old demon who fall in love. Kara is 15 years old and dreams her father has returned, only to wake and find out it's true, but he's been possessed by a demon that only she can see. Elionist is shocked to find a human who can see his true form and is drawn to her, and he begins to protect her. He takes the form of a teenage boy to get closer to her. Trouble begins as the other demons and the devil himself discovers Elionist's obsession and threaten to kill Kara.

The love story itself, well, it's a bit like Twilight, isn't it? Even Elionist saving Kara from a car crash is similar. That aside, I really like the concept of the demons and find the world itself really intriguing. If the story was fleshed out and the world built on I'd definitely check out more of the series.

The narrator was smooth and her character voices didn't detract from the story. This book was gifted to me from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an honest review.

Intriguing start

Any additional comments?

This Shortbrook have very intriguing start to work would be a very good full-length novel. The characters are engaging although it is too short for much world building there is much potential to be found . If there are more I would definitely listen .I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Not enough story to even pass judgment.

This audiobook was only 25 mins long and categorized as Fantasy Romance. In the short 25 minutes of listening, I got barely an inkling of any romance out of it, and really not much to go off of. Obviously it was an incomplete story, but even as a short story, I felt like so much more needed to be included - such as a plot? Sorry to leave a negative review here; I felt like there is potential but I was given only a partial piece to go on. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
