About this listen

A serial killer. An Apache legend. A time of murder and magic on ancient ground...

The owl moves on heavy wings, his eyes piercingly bright, his cry loud and haunting. The owl is the last thing they see before the sharp knife flashes....

Sheriff Cliff Lansing is a single father, a part-time rancher, and an overworked lawman suddenly faced with a serial killing spree. A madman is moving through San Phillipe County on New Mexico's Continental Divide, leaving an owl feather by each of his ritually mutilated victims.

While Lansing first suspects that Apache tribal politics lie behind the killings, he cannot ignore a troubled boy who claims to see the murders in his sleep, and then leads Lansing to the bodies. Suddenly, the sheriff is plunged into a bizarre world of Native American legend and magic. And in a hauntingly beautiful land, Lansing must walk a dangerous path between hard evidence and fleeting visions-to cleanse a blood rage from the earth.

Mickah S. Hackler's "The Shadow Catcher", narrated well by Eric G Dove, gives you a glimpse into a world still attached to history, culture, super sensory perception, and moving across worlds in the present.

This is another good book in this series. I enjoy books of this genre with Indians. There was a good storyline and the story kept me interested from start to finish. Sheriff Lansing tries to do a good job but he tries too hard. I think the next book will answer some questions. I will listen to all of the books in this series. I would recommend to start with book one but you wouldn't have to. I think the first books sets everything in motion. You get to learn everyone and the way things work. Eric Dove does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

While I enjoyed this fascinating story, when it ended, it left me with several questions about unresolved minor plot lines. I'm hoping they'll be addressed in the next book of this series.
