Publisher's summary

Money. Power. Prestige. These were the riches that destiny had awarded Edward Enger, but a greedy, ruthless family conspired against him and his own relentless desires enslaved him! Repetative

Not a bad story, but the repetitiveness of it became a little tedious. Not sure I would have noticed it as much had I been reading it as opposed to listening to it. Narration was good.

A truly great story

I've been a fan of Caldwell since I was a teenager but this is my first read of this book and it did not dissapoint. I feel uplifted after reading it.

Taylor Caldwell Never Disappoints

I was excited to see that there were a couple of books, wish there more, of Taylor Caldwell’s on audible. Laurence did a fantastic job.

The story was as depth-full as all the other books I’ve read. Her explanation of God was beautifully explained and was very powerful. Her vocabulary is amazing and challenging and adds much to the depth of her story. Thank you audible.

Author with insight and warnings

We think the problems of the world are new. This author squashes that fallacy. Beware from history. .

Tedious

What disappointed you about The Sound of Thunder?

This story is as boring and tedious as listening to the recited alphabet. It has the added burden of being narrated by an adult pretending in a squeaky voice be a family of sullen children. Could not make myself listen to the end.

Has The Sound of Thunder turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes

Would you be willing to try another one of Laurence Bouvard’s performances?

No

What character would you cut from The Sound of Thunder?

There were no characters that held my interest.

Awful narration !!

Is this for the hearing impaired?! Why are all the narrators shouting?! And there is another with an annoying sing song voice and then ten different accents! Excruciating to listen to! Ruined a great book!
