About this listen
Cryptic notes in his dead father's journal. Guarded secrets within the nursing home walls. Trust no one.
Are the elderly residents at Springthorpe living their golden years in peace, or are they part of a medical mystery waiting to be solved?
Mark Hogarth, a New York newspaper editor, receives a text stating his father has died. Mark books the next flight to San Francisco to pick up his father's belongings from Springthorpe Manor, an old red-brick retirement home sitting high on a hill. As Mark sorts through his father's possessions, he discovers strange and cryptic notes in his father's journal that suggest foul play.
Mark becomes convinced his father may still be alive, even after Heath Dole, the director of Springthorpe, hands him a black urn containing his father's ashes and assures Mark that Ralph Hogarth has indeed passed.
Has Mark's grief made him unwilling to accept his loss? Or are Mark's instincts correct?
Navigating the dark corridors of the facility, Mark teams up with Sarah, a Springthorpe nurse, to search for the truth about the mysterious clues and events unfurling around them.
They soon discover someone will stop at nothing to protect the secrets of Springthorpe Manor.
Highly addictive, The Springthorpe Agenda is a fast-paced roller-coaster thriller you'll want to share with friends.

Story
Matheus Taylor didn't ask to be murdered. To be fair, the percentage of people actually asking to be murdered is probably small enough to be safely ignored, but he felt it was worth stating regardless. His life might have been ordinary, but it was his life and he wasn't done with it yet. Quin didn't care. A 1,700-year-old Roman, Quintus Livius Saturnius had a different view of morality than most people. Killing Matheus and hijacking his undead existence seemed perfectly acceptable to him.

Well done!
A death in the family, a creepy nursing home, and secrets galore! I must admit I wasn’t sure about this story when I started it, but as the plot thickens and the story unfolded, I was pleasantly surprised! The story is full of twists and turns, secrets and lies. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and adventure. The narration is nicely done.

Unique Locale
I was intrigued by this book due to the unique locale for a mystery novel and I was not disappointed with the mystery that unfolds in this book. I will say that I did get a bit confused with all of the characters, but by the end I completely understood why, and it only added to the story.
A great read that will keep you guessing until the end.

Suspenseful and Heartwarming
🤩🤩🤩 Ok so that's six stars but this book deserves 10!
I almost had to stop listening during the first chapter. The details of the manor were bone chilling! Ripley has done this homework on what an alzheimer's unit is truly like! The first few chapters were so spot on that I almost couldn't listen. The cast of characters so, normal, so helpful and then so Unsceuplious!
This book takes you on a wild ride of emotions with the plot spins, twisting and turning that as soon as you think you know where its it's going you are sent mind reeling as it twists yet again.
I literally could not stop listening!!!
You will not be sorry that you decided to give this one a listen!!!
David Wolfson does SUCH an amazing job with the narration! He brings each character to life. He has such a rich and clear voice, you will never question who is speaking and conveys emotion so incredibly well! I never found the need to relisten to any quotes in this book.
***You can bet I will be looking for other novels he has narrated.***
Go ahead and download this one guys, but plan on having time to listen all the way through... you wont be able to stop til the end! BTW... you'll never see it coming!😉
Excellently written AND preformed!

This book deserves to be a movie!!!
Oh wow! Yes, this book is THAT good!! NY newspaper editor, Mark Hogarth, receives a text from his sister that their father has died. Mark is grief stricken seeing as they lost their mother 6 mos prior. Both elderly parents were residents of the retirement home, Springthorpe. While going through his father’s possessions, Mark finds his journal, which includes some cryptic notes...then he finds a photo of his parents that was taken after his mother was supposed to be dead. Mark begins to think that something sinister is happening to the residents of Springthorpe and believes that his father is still alive. Will he get to the bottom of the mystery...alive? This book is a great thriller with many twists and turns that you never see coming...especially the end! Glad that I tried this new-to-me author.

Great Mystery! Great Narration!
The Springthorpe Agenda is full of unexpected twists. Dale Ripley did a wonderful job of pulling the listener in with this story. The setting of a nursing home is both disconcerting and realistic, and creepy with a cemetery by it. Without giving away spoilers, I found the ending to have redemption and karma in it. David Wolfson performed this book flawlessly. He added the right emotions and tension and added to my enjoyment. I could easily hear who was speaking with his distinguishable voices for the characters. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.
