Publisher's summary

Her chest tightens, her heart speeding up. The kitchen is chaos. She steps on something hard, and looks down. Toy dinosaurs are scattered everywhere. But her son is nowhere–her baby boy is gone.

The police arrive. She can’t look at her husband. Instead, she studies the network of lines on her shaking hands.

Then her phone beeps with a voice message. "Listen to it on speaker," says the detective.

A woman’s voice fills the air.

"I’m assuming this is the Andrea Gately listed as a contact on the Missing Children of the World website. I’m calling to let you know that I’ve given your details to the police. Why are you using a picture of my son on a missing children’s website? Why are you using it and where did you get it?"

A psychological thriller that will leave you gasping with shock and staying up way past your bedtime. Perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Liane Moriarty and Adele Parks.

Disappointing

The story was not a psychological thriller! It was a bunch of dialogue. Did not enjoy & would not consider this a thriller

Excellent

Very good…never really sure where the story was going so any twists were, by-and-large surprising. Good character development.

Wow

This one has me biting my nails. Though in real life things wouldn’t work the way it did but the story was entertaining and the twist really shocked me.

just wow

I found this a great story that had me on the edge of my seat. I read a lot of these types of stories and can usually piece together the broad strokes of the ending before I get there. But this book ended very unexpectedly. I liked the surprise of it. I also liked the many clues spread throughout starting with the beginning itself. I don't know if the author wrote the beginning first, or the ending first, but the cleaver weave of minor red flags throughout was brilliant.

Not the author’s best for me personally

I had some peeves with this read and the characters. It was a bit of a disappointment for me because I like this author and I find her reads smart and character driven .There was quite a bit not to truly believe or understand about these characters They were very vague in the beginning, then very stupid in the middle.I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone for sharing too much but let’s just say there was a lot of eye rolling going on for me for certain situations that the characters let slide or pretended didn’t really matter or happen.Just not witty or smart enough for my taste or liking .And the ending was ridiculous, literally could and would never ever happen, So it was just okay ,not enough of what I hope for with this author sorry to say .
