Down-to-earth parenting advice
I really liked this audiobook. It felt like the author understood exactly what I was going through as a parent. The tips are practical and the tone is calm and supportive, not judgmental at all. I also really liked how it focused on me first, like noticing my triggers and learning how to stay grounded. It certainly helped me feel more in control and better equipped to handle tough moments with my kids. If you’re a parent who sometimes loses it (like I do), this guide is a kind and useful companion.

A Realistic Approach to Staying Calm as a parent
I wasn’t looking for perfection just a way to stop losing it with my kids. This audiobook felt like it “got” me. It didn’t guilt trip or overcomplicate things. Instead, it helped me understand what sets me off and gave me tools that actually work in the heat of the moment. I’m already seeing better interactions with my kids and less tension at home. Highly recommend if parenting has been testing your patience lately.

Informative and helpful book
A great listen full of helpful information and very relatable scenarios. I read Maya’s book and found myself coming back to review the lessons and practices she shared. Having an audio version makes it that much easier to go back.
I like how the author emphasizes that anger is a normal human emotion, removes the guilt, and focuses on realistic strategies to help deal with it. Highly recommend for young parents or those thinking about becoming parents in the near future.
