About this listen

Once you're on the synchronicity highway, you're traveling through a realm that often seems as magical and strange as Alice's Wonderland. You feel connected to something larger than yourself and your immediate world. Your perceptions change, you see and experience yourself and life differently. You become immersed in a mystery that often defies reason and logic. Your worldview can be turned inside out like a dirty sock.

On the synchronicity highway, meaningful coincidence is your guidance system. It lies in your awareness, curiosity, feelings, intentions, and beliefs. It lies within. Once you trust that inner guidance, synchronicities seem to pop up everywhere. They occur in travel and creative endeavors, in social movements and popular culture, and they sometimes proliferate during and after UFO encounters. When our lives are in transition and during intensely emotional periods, synchronicity is usually right there with us.

Following the lead of Carl Jung, who coined the term synchronicity, we see paranormal phenomena fitting under the umbrella of synchronicity. That's because telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, and psychokinesis all take place outside of cause and effect - the way things happen in the everyday world.

Loved it!

Where does The Synchronicity Highway rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I typically can't stand the 12+ hour books since I usually listen to about a quarter of it. This book was different- it held my attention consistently for the ENTIRE time! A great listen! Tells numerous different real life stories of all paranormal. I absolutely loved it!

If you have experience with sychronicity...

Would you consider the audio edition of The Synchronicity Highway to be better than the print version?

Haven't seen the print version but found the audiobook facinating enough.

What other book might you compare The Synchronicity Highway to and why?

This book is a chronicle of synchronicities and other paranormal phenomenom that are interesting if you are open-minded enough to believe that in the quantum view of the world anything is possible.

What about Kevin Pierce’s performance did you like?

Keven Pierce kept a steady pace throughout the book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Sychronicity - As Real as Rain

I always like to preface any reviews I give with this information.
I am a 68 year old female who has been an avid reader since I was around 10 or 11 years old.
I read primarily for pleasure.
I have a great many interests and do a lot of research for personal pleasure and knowledge as well.
Ancient History, Archeology, Science, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery are some of the interests I have.

What can I say about this book/audiobook? First of all if you have read this, you know about the "11:11" thing right? Yeah, does it pop up a lot in your life? Do you see it constantly?
The reason I asked is because I have always been aware of that grouping of numbers throughout my life. I didn't realize until I got my Birth Certificate from my mom years ago, that I was born at 11:11 pm. I think I am the only person I know of who was born at this specific time. It has only been in the last 30 years that I have been so much more consciously aware of how often I see it. Many times when I look at my watch it is that time. At least 10 times a week. I notice it in T V shows if the clock is on that time. I notice it in addresses as well. I would say I have a "hyper-awareness" of this grouping of numbers.

So this book is right up my alley. I will step out into the "woo-woo" zone because I know what kinds of experiences I have had in my life. I don't really care if anyone believes what I say or not. That happens when you live it.

No I have never seen a UFO, or an alien from another dimension, but I have had repeated times of precognition in my life. I have touched letters I have received in the mail and known before I opened the letter that someone had died. I have experienced an "otherness" for lack of a better word, an "entity" in a room where 4 other people besides myself were, and only one other person was aware that there was something else there besides those of us who were alive and present. I can't explain it to this day. I have known things in advance and been able to tell when someone was going to visit, with no prior knowledge that they were going to do so.

I have had "feelings" that I should postpone trips, or take a different route than normal, in my life, and I have heeded those feelings. I have had out of body experiences several times in my life.
I used to have dreams as a child that came true later in my life.

I have started singing a song and turned on the radio, only to have that song playing, or start to play. I have been thinking of people and had my phone ring and it was that very person I was thinking of. It happened just last week!

These incidents are very common in my life and my daughter, my sister, to some degree; my mom had those abilities as well.

This book is a compilation of many types of experiences that are beyond what a lot of people have never experienced.

For myself, having had odd experiences as a young person, it set me on a path to try to find out what these experiences were, and what caused them.

It has made me a seeker of knowledge and also given me the ability to be open to the possibility that there are things beyond our sight as mortal beings.

This book was extremely interesting to me and it is one that I will listen to again. There was nothing in this book that I hadn't heard of, or read of before now. It is convenient to have all this research in one volume to go through.

The Authors Trish MacGregor and Rob MacGregor had to have put in a phenomenal amount of time to compile all this research on so many areas that while considered "fringe" areas by conventional science, those of us who have experienced some of these in our lives have the benefit that those learned scientists still lack.

Narrator Kevin Pierce is a voice actor I was not familiar with until listening to this audiobook. This audiobook is more in the line of being a documentary kind of audiobook, rather than being a "novel" where a voice actor utilizes their voice to act different genders and roles. It was enjoyable listening to his narration of this audiobook.

He has a very large body of work listed at Audible and I hope to listen to more of his audiobooks.

As to who would enjoy this book/audiobook, it would depend I believe, on the reader/listener's mindset. I have always believed there is so much more that we don't know, than we do. If you have that kind of open mind, I believe this book/audiobook will be of interest to you.
