About this listen
Meryl Streep reads this enchanting tale by Beatrix Potter. The curious and disobedient Peter Rabbit learns that indeed he should have listened to his mother's warning about Mr. McGregor's garden. Ages five and up will appreciate why this story has captured the imaginations of children around the world for years. It comes packaged with a second story, The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher, which is also read by Meryl Streep. Both readings are accompanied by expressive music performed by Lyle Mays. Your entire family will enjoy listening to both stories, which are part of the award-winning Rabbit Ears series, Storybook Classics.

They must be accounted for and incorporated into your business plan from the very beginning. Failing to account for taxes when planning, budgeting, and assessing revenue goals for a business is like failing to account for the expense of your rent or mortgage.

Story
Wickedly narrated by David Stifel, and written in 1729, this satiric essay on how to solve Ireland's chronic poverty is perhaps more shocking today than when it was written. In the 1960s, when Peter O'Toole did a public reading of this piece in Dublin, he very nearly started a riot. Newspapers the following day lambasted O'Toole's "shocking bad taste." Whether shocking satire, or Monty-Pythonesque surrealism, this essay has continually managed to offend people for well over 3 centuries. Enjoy! (and Thank You!)

The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

I enjoyed Meryl Streep's narration
The backround music is humorous, it is from the 80's. I have listened to it twice so far.

Odd music good story
Long periods of elevator music, sometimes between sentences. Makes following the story difficult for kids. Classic story, great narration, but experience is not helped by the accompaniment of music, which nearly tripled the length of the audiobook unnecessarily.
