About this listen
What would you do for love? The sequel to the best-selling book The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars is finally here!
Heaven stands decimated by war. Lucifer's exile places mankind at the center of the mad angel's plot to overthrow God.
Meanwhile, Michael must now take on a mantle of leadership that he did not seek and is tested to see if he is worthy of the title of chief prince. Yet, a conflict eats at him as he wrestles with his sworn duty to Heaven and his obedience to God; torn over a vision of a future revealed by the creator himself - a future that shows the death of God. Will Michael succumb to a darker path that once more would plunge Heaven into civil war, or will he trust and yield to the revealed will of God?
For, in order to save humanity and heal the rift to his kingdom, God will make the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of his beloved creation, answering for all time the most powerful questions driving the universe: whom will you serve and whom do you love?

Story
The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars is book one of a three part series that tells of the fascinating story of the fall of Lucifer. Lucifer, God's perfect creation and who dwelt in his very presence, walked in the midst of the stones of fire. Yet rose up to betray the Lord and bring Heaven itself to civil war. Many tales have referenced this great angelic war but few have sought to explore the dynamic relationships between God and the angelic hosts. Why did a third of heaven seek to overthrow their creator?

Story
Lucifer, the anointed cherub, whose ministry in heaven is devoted to the worship of the Most High God, has become pessimistic about his prospects in heaven. Ambition inflamed, he looks to the soon-to-be-created Earth as a place where he can see his destiny realized. With a willing crew of equally ambitious angels, Lucifer creates a fifth-column of malcontents under the very throne of God. Hot on their heels, however, is a group of loyalists, led by Michael and Gabriel, who are suspicious of Lucifer's true motives.

The Third Heaven
Very vivid story . Extremely detailed and the performance was excellent. Lots of scripture. Talented author. Yes, I would recommend this book, but not to the very young who has not studied the Word which is an ongoing requirement and blessing. The Bible events were all over the place , which was sometimes jolting, but I understand why you stressed this is a novel.Looking forward to your next book.

there's good, bad and just plain ugly
The Good: There's plenty of really quotable one liners that could easily be from Star Wars or similar huge movies that truly give character to these literally larger then life characters. Also there's still plenty of good quality character development and story moments such as (SPOILER ALERT) when El asks which angel will deliver him to Mary and none of them are willing to do it. they're all like "Ya, the last time El was gone, BAD stuff happened". I thought this was really perfect (and personally how I would have responded). There's a huge battle that is really well done, with plenty of moments of personal battles showing of how badass the characters can get. there's even a Commando Rescue mission involved 😎. Also Enoch is introduced in this book is is very well done as are the angels various reactions to him.
The Bad: while this starts of strong, about half way through it goes on a tangent of quoting the old testament for several chapters. The first book of this series is nearly entirely Original as a story so why? The second book has a lot of Satan does this so El genocides these people for not knowing that Thier gods were Fallen angels (why not just send a angel to to tell people instead of killing thousands?!). It gets to the point of essentially being a morbid spectators view of humanity being batted back and forth between El and Lucifer with plenty of dry biblical quotations. it becomes difficult to see either as being somehow Better then the other.
The Ugly: HUGE ENDING SPOLIER: Frustratingly the Conception and Annunciation are little more then sidenotes to the huge battle I mentioned. THE ENTIRE BOOK has literally built up to THIS moment and it seems barely given any thought.
this part really needs more attention to give it the proper gravitas. I'm not even a believer and I'm annoyed that these kind of narratives always seem to gloss over the whole Mary being The MOTHER thing. I was hoping this book would be an exception but I was wrong.
Overall: I would give 3.5 stars if I could for the story as there is still plenty of good to balance the bad. And I'm mainly here for the angels.

Superb
From the compelling story to the riveting story teller I don't have enough great things to say. I'm so grateful for great story telling especially when it comes to biblical themes. These books have caused me to worship up completely differently. My soul was hungry for this story. it compels you to step in and consider the real emotion and strife that caused a completely Holy God to evacuate His throne and enter the filth of humanity. I'm in awe!!! please don't stop writing!

Great Books for fun! I Love God through Jesus !
I enjoy this series of books and even though I am no Bible Scholar; I do see the value of these books in a means to communicate & spark a desire (at minimum) to pick up THE BIBLE and possibly to get someone to God through a good, fun entertainment book. I can see this book engaging the Y.A. Sci-fi Fantasy type of book reader or listener and maybe Save one or two
I enjoy them as well as the narrator and look forward to the next one.
God Bless,
