The story was just ok. I could hear the breathing and need for the reader to swallow through the whole story. Not really engrossing by any means but does have a good message at the end.

"This can't be happening" is spot on for this book, the most of the four books I've read on this series. It is the author's.nightmare tale of an adoption. I have been through this scenario as the attorney and can testify that all the apprehensions are true. I've also served as a guardian ad litem for children in the system, which can be gut-wrenching. The author's perspective makes the story. Her ability to display compassion in a tough situation is inspirational. The Third Man brings her compassion to the forefront.

Any book that helps encourage someone to delve beyond surface judgments is a plus in my eyes. This was a short story, perfect for a short car trip. I enjoyed and recommend it. 👍
