Editorial reviews

Modest and somewhat eccentric Father Brown has a keen awareness of the frailties of human nature thanks to his years of listening to confessions and advising his parishioners. When a servant is accused of murdering his employer, Father Brown must use his abilities to find out the truth behind the crime. Narrator David Timson lets the story's pace develop organically, and this detective story is more like a psychological exploration of the characters, whom he voices with great precision. Listeners will find his depiction of the compassionate Father Brown particularly loveable and charming.
