Publisher's summary

A betrayed criminal. A kidnapped child. A deadly race against time.

On the Island of the Gods, expedition leader Hiram Kane is on holiday after a long season guiding in the Peruvian Andes.

When a good friend’s greed leads him to betray Bali’s most notorious gangster, their peaceful community is left shell-shocked after the six-year-old daughter of its leader gets kidnapped in a vicious and violent raid.

What follows is a whirlwind race across the paradise island to rescue the girl before "The Rooster" takes his sadistic revenge, and with the waking giant of volcanic Mt. Agung threatening to destroy them all, Kane risks everything to prevent a devastating tragedy.

The Tiger Temple is the exciting new starter to the Hiram Kane adventure series. For fans of Russell Blake and Clive Cussler, Steven Moore’s action thriller will leave you breathless.

A Tiger’s Revenge!

A six-year-old girl is kidnapped… Hiram Kane races against time and a volcano’s fury to bring her back to her father. If you like fast paced stories filled with action you will enjoy the Hiram Kane Adventure series. Steven Moore is now on my list of adventure authors I really enjoy, right next to Clive Cussler. I’m looking forward to starting “The Samurai Code”, book two in the series. Also, a shout out to Kenneth Bryant who does a good job with the narration.

I received this audiobook from the author at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great story

As usual Steven did not disappoint. Hiram Kane is a captivating series. The characters draw you into the story. You have no choice but to like or hate them depending on their role in the story. This one has Hiram risk his life to save a 6 year old girl. She was taken for something that she didn't even do. Hiram could not rest until she was safe. The story has nonstop action & you won't want to put it down.

Great

The author has drawn us into the setting of Bali, the temples, the culture and the way of the people. A tranquility he has never seen or felt, except here. Three men on motorbikes disturbed the gathering, and grab a blond hair, six year old girl. It was their spiritual leaders only child that has been taken. As Hiram looks at this leader, the father shown through, as though broken. A sudden change, and he was once again, a man delivering a message. They were shock when he said it began in the midst and for that person to speak up. The adventure, the task to get her back gives us an adventure, well done. The narration by Kenneth added to this story.

Fast-Paced Thriller

This was my first experience with a Hiram Kane adventure. The story was fast-paced and action filled. Added to all the excitement, was an exotic local. I was entertained by the story. I recommend this book to all who like this genre. Kenneth Bryant's narration was fine. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great Read

This book was amazing. It really captivated me when I was reading it. I never wanted to put it down. Hiram Kane always seemed to find himself in trouble. This time it was in Bali and although he had the respect of the villagers, he would gain even more respect when the day was done. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and a real hero. Hiram Kane is smart and capable. And I'm waiting in anticipation to read the next book.

An exciting beginning to a new series and author

I have quite a few of Mr. Moore's books but I just haven't had the time to sit and read them. So I was so excited to find out the publisher was giving copies of this book away for people to listen to. This is a shorter story as most are at the first of a series to give you a taste of what the books will be like. You can tell by the descriptions in the book that the author has travelled in Bali, and it sounds very beautiful there. Lol unless some of the things in this book are true and maybe then I will pass. The characters are interesting and grab your interest especially the little 6 year old girl in the temple. If you like a story with lots of action and suspense you will enjoy this book.
As I said I received a free code for this book from the publisher to listen to on Audible.com. This review is my own honest opinion.

Great

My first read from author Steven Moore will not be my last. The action takes off like a jet plane of an aircraft carrier and never lets up until the end. I read this book in one sitting. Narrator Kenneth Bryant's narration made this re-read so very enjoyable! "I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

It’s a No for Me

The story was a fun adventure story, but it’s a tired tale that I’ve read elsewhere. But the narration, my, oh, my. I hated it. The narrator’s tone was pleasant enough, but his sentences were choppy with awkward pauses.

Good adventure for debut of new series

The Tiger Temple is a good adventure story as the start of the Hiram Kane series. There is plenty of action, and it is refreshing to have a story set in a fairly unknown part of the world. It is very evident that Steven Moore has been to Bali and is quite familiar with the people, the culture, and the scenery. Kenneth Bryant does a great job narrating the story with his change of voice for each character and very good pronunciation of terms and words not commonly familiar to the western reader.
Definitely a series worth following.
